Troubleshooting 7-Way Adapter on 2015 Nissan Xterra Not Working When Used
Question:
I have a 2015 Nissan Exterra. I ordered the wire harness with the relays and 4 way plug. I also have the connector for the Prodigy 2 brake controller. My first issue is the 4 way plug works perfectly no issues, but as soon as I plug in the 7 way adapter then nothing works on the 7 way adapter. Do I need to hook up the black wire for power to get the adapter to work?? or could this be a ground issue??? Or am I missing something else???

Expert Reply:
If you already installed a 4-way trailer wiring harness like the part # C56225 which comes with all of the needed relays and harnesses then to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install and use the brake controller you would need to use the part # 118267 as this will replace the 4-way and give you a 7-way that is functional.
This would work well with your Prodigy P2 part # 90885 and install harness part # 3050-P.
