Is Optronics Trailer Light, # ST16RB, Waterproof and Corrosion Resistant
Question:
Will this work on my boat trailer? I need to keep power connected for backing. The Wesbar light did not have a part number on it for the assembly, but the dimensions are similar.

The Optronics Trailer Light, # ST16RB, is waterproof and corrosion resistant and rated for boat trailer applications. This light is an exact replacement for Wesbar # 3554 or Peterson # M456. If you happen to find one of these numbers on your existing lights somewhere, this is the correct replacement light.
I recommend, if possible, to turn off the lights for a long enough period to allow them to cool before backing into the water. The sudden temperature change could cause lighting components to shatter. Also, whenever possible, I recommend disconnecting the trailer lighting before backing into the water just to help decrease the chance of water-related malfunctions.
