Clearance for Silverado Front Hitch to Allow Use of Thule Goalpost Load Bar # TH997

I am looking to install a curt front mounted hitch on my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, my question is in your video you indicate thither is 7 and 3/4 inches from center pin to front edge of bumper. I would like to use this with the Thule goal post kayak carrier. I believe that that part indicates a 7 and 3/8 inch requirement to put in receiver . So it appears that there would be interference with front bumper. Is there any kind of work around to this such as an extender etc. Thanks

In order to use the Thule Goal Post # TH997 on the front of your Silverado 2500 you will instead want to install Draw-Tite hitch # 65078 whose hitch tube will stick out further forward than the Curt # C31071.

The other option is to use a different load support bar like the Erickson # EM07600-07601 Big Bed Load Extender which has a longer shank for more clearance at your front bumper.
