Installation of Roadmaster 12V Power Outlet Kit # RM-9332 on 2013 Ford Focus

Question:

Since the 2013 Focus battery must be disconnected for towing, how will the outlet kit deliver any power to the brake unit? Seems one would have to disconnect to pos wire to isolate the Focus, add a connecter to the pos post to connect pos wire of the outlet kit. Any suggestions to deal with the RM-9332 connection would be appreciated. Its enroute to my location as I type.

The Roadmaster 12V Power Outlet Kit # RM-9332 is ideal for powering your Blue Ox Patriot supplementary braking system # BLU37TR. As shown in the linked video (demonstrating installation in a 2013 Ford Focus) you will see the outlet's two leads will connect to the auxiliary terminal on the battery positive post and to the main chassis ground in the engine compartment.

You are correct that you will disconnect the battery positive terminal from the vehicle's harness but maintain the positive terminal connection for the 12V outlet.

For vehicles that don't have power to the cigarette lighter power ports when the vehicle is off we have the part #RM-9332 which runs directly to the vehicle battery and then gives you a power source for the Blue Ox Patriot #BLU37TR.
