Drop Shank Recommendation for Curt Weight Distribution

The hitch ball height on my 15 Infiniti QX80 at the lowest setting on the shank is about 2 1/2 inches higher than the top of the tongue hight of my travel trailer. The dry weight of the trailer is 7280 with a tongue weight of 720 - which I believe with the added cargo in the front storage puts it at least 800. Im having a hard time with the setting and basically need to put the setting all the way up because the suspension does sag a little. Should I buy a shank to make it more even hight or is it fine. By the way on the hight setting meaning the hitch is at full tilt- I basically have the trailers power jack picking up the rear of my truck. Thanks!

I would strongly recommend you go with a shank that offers more drop than the one that comes with the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 that you referenced if your trailer is sitting nose high by about 2-1/2 inches with the included shank.

The part # C17123 should be perfect as it offers about 5 more inches of drop than what you currently have.

Since your loaded tongue weight is right around 800 lbs this system should work very well for you once you get the correct drop ball mount.
