The Saris Bones RS 3 Bike Carrier, part # SA801BL may be a good fit for your 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek if it has no spoiler. Since the # SA801BL does have 2 upper straps that attach to the seam between the roof and the rear hatch, they will not work if you do have a spoiler on your vehicle. All of the trunk mount bike carriers we offer have some style of strap or cable system to secure the bike racks to the vehicle.

We do have a really nice bike rack I recommend. It is the Thule OutWay 3-Bike Rack, part # TH56BV. The nice thing about this rack is that is uses 2 steel cables to secure the bike carrier to the vehicle versus the 4-6 nylon straps you normally find on trunk mount carriers. Another nice bike rack you may want to take a look at is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Rack, part # HRF2-3. This is an adjustable rack so there is no interference with the spooiler. If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance.
