Is There Drilling or Exhaust Lowering Involved with Installing Draw Tite Hitch # 76031

Question:

Did you have to lower exhaust? Can it be done without jacking up the car? Is it necessary to drill outenlarge any holes? Finally, is it hidden or does it show below bumper? Picture? Thanks in advance

When you install the Draw Tite hitch # 76031 on a 2012-2013 Volkswagen Beetle you will not need to lower the exhaust. This is a pretty easy process and is almost standard hitch install protocol.

There won't be any drilling or hole enlargement to install the hitch though. For more info check out the installation instructions I attached.

The hitch will be out of sight for the most part. Unless someone was really looking for it they wouldn't notice it. However, it is not considered a hidden hitch. I attached a review video that explains the hitch and the install.

The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This rack has a ton of positive reviews from our customers who have tried it. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
