Are Air Springs Needed On Truck With Over-The-Bed Camper

If I have a cab over camper, well within the weight limits of my truck, are air springs necessary?

Expert Reply:

since you said your camper is within the weight carrying capacity of your truck you may not need air springs at all. Air springs are intended to be used with a suspension system that is in good working order and will not increase the weight carrying capacity of your truck.

If you are experiencing sagging or side to side sway when you have the camper loaded I would recommend suspension enhancement.

If you want to let me know the year, make, and model of your truck I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
