If coolant is leaking from any part that has to do with the transmission then you will need to have that taken care of immediately. Coolant getting into the transmission will cause it to fail and transmissions are not cheap to replace.

There also seems to be some issues with the Nissan radiators because we hear about leaks often. The best solution for a leaky radiator core is to have the radiator replaced. The coolers we offer are designed as supplemental coolers and not to replace a factory cooler.

If the radiator is leaking coolant and not transmission fluid then adding a supplemental transmission cooler would not help the problem. It could be a crack in the radiator or a hose; something simple. I would take it by a radiator shop or trusted mechanic to have it looked at to determine the cause before doing anything else. You might get lucky and only need something tightened or a hose.

If the radiator does need to be replaced again I recommend getting a new one rather than a used one. Aftermarket radiators for the trouble Nissans seem to hold up a lot better than the factory ones.
