The Thule Interstate Rooftop Cargo Bag # TH869 that you referenced is designed to fit vehicle crossbars or raised side rails. If you have raised rails or crossbars on your 2009 GMC Yukon Denali you would be good to go with this bag and wouldn't need anything else to install it on your roof.
If you don't have raised rails or crossbars you would instead want the Rightline Sport 3 XL Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S30. This bag can fit all roof styles.
I also recommend a protective pad, # RL100650, to protect the roof when using the bag.
