Question:
Will the Draw-Tite 9460-35 fit my truck? I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad cab Cummins Diesel 6foot Bed. I contacted Draw-Tite and they said it would fit but everything I am reading says I need 9464-35. I have already purchased the 9460-35 and cannot return. What does not fit if it doesnt and what is my cheapest way out with what I already have? Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

For the 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with 6-foot bed (and not the Mega cab version) the correct Draw-Tite Gooseneck hitch is indeed # 9464-35. I verified this both in our fit guide and on the Draw-Tite website.
As you can appreciate, for liability reasons we cannot advise you to use a product that is not expressly defined by the manufacturer as being correct for your vehicle.
Certainly it may be possible to install the hitch you purchased on your truck. However, since this would be a non-standard application I have to defer to the information you received from Draw-Tite. Since they produced the gooseneck hitch only they can determine if there are suitable and safe exceptions to their standard fit information.
