Video Transcript for Draw-Tite Class III, IV and V Pin and Clip Review

Today, we'll be taking a look at the Pin And Clip for Class III, IV and V trailer hitch receivers, part number PC3. This 5/8ths pin and clip is going to fit 2" and 2-1/2" square receiver tubes. It's 5/8" long and has a pistol grip shape handle. That way, it can be easily installed and removed, and it won't slide all the way through. It's great for standard ball mounts or more complicated ones, like weight distribution chains. It's also great for cargo carriers and bike racks that don't have an anti-rattle bolt.

In fact, you can use it for any hitch-mounted accessories that require a 5/8ths hitch pin and clip. Now, let's go ahead and see what it looks like when it's going down the road. That's going to complete our look at the Pin And Clip for Class III, IV and V trailer hitch receivers, part number PC3.

Awesome service

This is actually the second one of these I've installed. I helped a friend put one on his 06 Outback and it was really easy. So when I needed one for my 05 Outback I knew where to buy one.

Super-simple installation and looks good too.

They are all working just fine still.

After balking at the cost to have an auto-shop add a trailer to our Toyota Highlander, we found etrailer.com and decided to take a chance. The "how to" videos factored considerably in our decision to buy ... they made it look so easy! And surprise! It really -WAS- that easy. We used standard block-type ramps (the kind you can buy for $40 ) to get the SUV up off the ground high enough to get underneath to do the work. Everything came off as easy as it was showed in the videos. Other than the fact this bar is a heavy so we had our teen daughter help hold it steady while we bolted it into place (i.e., get help for when you go to lift it), it went super smooth. Thanks for saving us $280 over the cost the car dealer quoted us! P.S. - be sure to watch the linked videos so you get the right trailer lighting attachment and ball hitch for your new hitch.

We are very happy with our trailer hitch, and all the accoutrements that we purchased with it. Your videos were enormously helpful, the hitch went on easily with a bit of help from our teenage daughter to lift it up into place, and we recommend your business to friends when they express an interest in getting a camper.

No complaints. Works well.

Purchased with a Draw-Tite hitch that has the bracket welded to the cross member. No sweat to install onto hitch.

Remember to mount the bracket to the hitch before installing hitch. Also, the vertical tab with the slot must face the rear of the truck to accept the plug from the wiring harness.

Working fine.

Works for larger hitch. Thanks

Pulling the pin on my new Tacoma was a pain in the rear with the old pin from a 2005 Tacoma. The new truck has an extra lip welded on the receiver. So I got this one, out of the box I thought it was exactly what the old one was. Not so, just a bit longer so the pin slides right in ??
Thanks

The Oem hitches on the 2005 Toyota Tacomas have extra width around the receiver and will need a hitch pin that is made for a 3 inch hitch. I recommend Curt part # C21506 Hitch Pin and Clip. This hitch pin and clip is 4 13/16 inches long.

by:

works good, a must for people that have the larger2.5" by 2.5" receiver hitch

good

by:

Worked perfect good quality

by:

We got this so we could open our tailgate without having to unhitch the trailer. It works great! Product is good, service was fast... it made our trip to Alaska much happier (our dog needs the tailgate lowered so she can jump in and out for potty breaks). We still need to have the truck and trailer pretty much straight in line with each other... if there is too much angle left or right, we can't fully lower the tailgate. We drive a 2015 Ford F-150.

Extremely poor design. Do NOT purchase this junk! Go to a hardware store and get a real one. This pin has no hole for a cotter pin. The weak spring clip is unreliable at best. I would not take a chance on a clip design like this.

I do not use this pin. Instead, I use a pin with a cotter pin hole in it.

Purchased Hidden Hitch Class 3, 2" hitch for my 2007 Honda CRV along with wiring harness and ball mount. Not the handiest person in the world but after installing this hitch, my handy-ego has been inflated. The videos on the website are spot on and are a huge resource for installation. Support during the sale and after were much appreciated. This is one of my top five e-commerce experiences. Well done etrailer.com!

by:

When you Google "customer service" etrailer has to be first in line! They care and they want it right!
In addition, my new hitch sleeve insert/cover is the highest quality I have seen. Talk about rock solid!
etrailer is the first place I am going to go for all of my trailer towing needs. Top of line people, outstanding products and very competitive pricing. I'm all in!

To Whom it May Concern:
I highly recommend
etrailer.com com. I ordered a trailer hitch and bike rack by phone. The sales agent was professional, competent, helpful and friendly. The prices of the products are fair and the delivery was timely and arrived in good condition. It is rare to have a purchase experience of the level of high quality that I experienced with etrailer.com. I am highly recommending this company to others, based on my first experience with them, and I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. 4 stars out of 4. Thank you. Jim B., Falmouth Maine.

Does it's function, but did not seem secure. It could be tampered with easily. Replace it with a locking pin.

The women staff are very good at helpingthe customers and following through all the way to your door step. I have ordered and installed many hitches from E-trailer and I have not been sorry yet.
I even had one wiring electronic kit fail and they were very fast gettiing me a new and better replacement at no cost to me.
Super if you need a hitch better get hitched to etrailer.com!

Great Video guides on how to install everything. Made installation a breeze. Super fast shipping was shipped day I ordered it! Got everything and well boxed everything in good condition. Great company to work with I usually dont leave feedback but these guys did everything right!. Thanks etrailer!

Great stuff and everything works fine. FYI you guys do a great job and your help videos really helped with me installing the hitch. God bless!

by:

I am only rating this item poor because I don't really use it. I upgraded to a locking pin. I just did not feel safe with this pin. I use it as an emergency back up if I ever can't use the new locking pin.

Was easy to in stall the carter pin and PC3 after installing. will order from etrailer again!

Great product. It has been over a year and it is still in excellent condition and holding up well. Would order from etrailer againl Thanks Etrailer

by:

Customer Support was excellent. Products fit as good as factory and a whole lot less expensive. Installed in a couple of hours with a little help from a friend. The hitch is pretty beefy and I needed a little help holding in place. Other than that everything bolted right up. Nice heavy duty bolts and thick wafer washers to insure it won’t come lose. The hardest part was cutting the plastic factory shielding underneath around the hitch. Great product.

by:

etrailer is a very great company to deal with. The video's they supply step by step on how to put the hitch on your own vehicle are very helpful. Plus the video uses your own model vehicle & year model. The price was very fair. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a hitch.

by:

This is my second purchase from eTrailer.com. Their web site is easy to navigate and you are able to order what you need even if you don't know the first thing about trailer hitches. Their deliveries are always fast and accurate as well. Our next vehicle is just about ready for towing. Thanks eTrailer.

by:

Ordering and delivery was great from etrailer, although the description of the hitch pin I purchase said it would fit a class 5 hicth and did, but no finger room to place key in and out of pin. I’m looking for something about a inch longer that makes key easier to remove and to install, I consider this pin not ideal for a class 5 hicth and have a better detail on website. I do have the perfect pin now, trying to find a couple more. Thanks, Mark W

Quality Products & Quality ServiceThis is my second time ordering from etrailer.com. I am so pleased with the selection, pricing, and customer service, that I will look here first before ordering products elsewhere.

I have not yet tested the process of adding the Thule ski carrier to my Thule bike rack (our snow melted but is forecasted to return this week); however, I foresee no issues. I love the Thule rack and the ski carrier appears to be of similar quality.

The hitch receiver cover was of even greater quality than expected, and a huge hit. As confirmed with etrailer.com customer service before ordering, the pin/clip were exactly what was needed to secure the cover.

The order shipped out earlier than expected and because it was close to the holidays, the shipping speed was upgraded at no cost. All in all, a terrific experience with etrailer.com.

I should close by saying that I do not regularly submit product/business reviews, but feel compelled to do this one because of the wonderful service and quality products. Happy holidays!

Yes, you can use a hitch adapter like the 1-1/4 Inch to 2 Inch, # HTAD, in the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11158, to allow you to use the cargo carrier/basket for the 2 inch hitch. In addition to the adapter you will need hitch pin and clip # PC2 and # PC3.
