Today we're going to take a look at the replacement zip strip straps for the Yakima standard bike rack cradles. This is for a quantity of two. This set of zip strips will replace the lost or damaged straps for the Yakima standard anti-sway cradles. These are nice hassle-free zip strip straps that'll secure your bike to the bike rack and they are fully removable. They are designed to fit the Yakima hitch-mounted bike carriers that utilize these zip strips and that would be the Ridgeback that are manufactured before 2016, the Swing Daddy, which is manufactured before 2016, the Full Tilt and the Full Swing. This part does include the two replacement straps and then just for a demonstration purpose, I happened to pull, here's what the anti-sway cradle would be like on those bike racks. The way the zip strips would work as you can see, you just insert it right over like that, push it all the way in, and push it down as far as you need to to tighten your bike to the cradle.
Then to release it, all you have to do is push in on these, and it's fully removable. Comes right out. That includes two of them, because you can use one for the anti-sway cradle portion also. Again, you just adjust them by pushing them in. Push these levers in and you pull it out as far as you need or completely all the way out. That should do it for the review on the replacement zip strip straps for the Yakima standard bike rack cradles, quantity of two..

These zipstrips fit my 12+ yr. old Yakima SwingDaddy. The deep grooved/sawteeth fit perfect which was a relief since I didn't want to replace all the cradles. eTrailer was the only place that appeared to have them in stock.
It was difficult to find the correct holding straps required for my Yakima bike rack, but with we finally found the correct ones with Lance's help.
Life saver! We lost our bag that had the zip strips to our bike rack. It took a little digging, but I found these replacements on etrailer, and they’re perfect!
It doesn't fit my Yakima RidgeBack 2. It is more thicker than the original one.

I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer and they have confirmed that there is a possibility that the straps for your ridgeback 2 will indeed be different, if the date-code shows that your ridgeback 2 was manufactured after 2015. The date-code can be located on the bike rack, as seen in the diagram attached. Based off of the picture you provided, the manufacturer is pretty confident that this strap will not fit your bike rack. If you currently have the straps on the left, then you will need the SuperCush ZipStrips 2020+. Currently we do not carry this part on our site, but I have sent in a request to get this part added to the site. In the mean time, I can send you the information for the manufacturer to get the correct straps sent out to you as soon as possible. I will send you this information via email.

The teeth on this product were too deep. The original that came with bike the rack were smaller. These did not fit through this was the original bike rack code. I only have one of the originals left and need 3 more

The zip straps do not fit out standard Yakima bike rack. The information given on the item said they would fit,they are too thick. We need to get a refund.

These zip ties are for Yakima bike racks that were manufactured before 2015. For the racks made after 2015, they use part # Y55XR. They also are meant for the FullSwing, RidgeBack, and the SwingDaddy racks. Which rack do you have?
Looking for very hard to find replacement straps for a Yakima rack. After an ordering issue (my fault), I was able to return the incorrect ones and the replacement straps were delivered within the week! Very prompt and convenient!
The straps fit our Yakima bike rack perfectly and has made it useful for us again!

I am sorry that this did not fit your application. This should fit the Yakima FullSwing, RidgeBack, and the SwingDaddy. If you do not have one of these bike racks, then this will not fit your application. Please let me know what bike rack you have and I am happy to help you find the correct straps.
These replacement straps were exactly as described and fit my Bike Rack perfectly. eTrailer was a great company to work with.
Ha - terrible - didn't fit all; plastic was too thick and the notches too thick. Took six months to get them - literally could have burned the dough in a campfire for more entertainment.

Somehow, after a major bike ride, our zip straps were missing, and without them, we could not use our Yakima carrier, especially because my husband's electric bike is heavy. I could no longer get replacements from [online store] or Yakima and was even sent the wrong size once. I was really grateful that Noah from your company sent me exactly the right size, and they arrived quicker than I expected. I expect to use the carrier for many more years and will definitely look to etrailer if I ever need anything else for it.

Very sturdy and strong. these do NOT fit the stock part on the YAKIMA because the teeth are too deep, but these are better quality. i will just order the base part that it fits.

I’ve used the Yakima bike carrier over 10 years now and it’s still in great shape. The ZipStrips have taken a from the sun and needed replacing. I was disheartened to see these strips were discontinued on the Yakima website. Thank you for having parts available and the timely service provided.

Depending on the Yakima bike rack that you have and when it was made, these straps may not be a fit for you. These zip strips from Yakima will ony fit the Fullswing, Ridgeback, and Swingdaddy bike racks that use the standard cradles and were manufactured before December of 2015. If you have one of these racks and got it after December 2015 then they have a different cradle that uses zip strip part # Y55XR instead.
