Ballistic nylon cover over soft foam interior makes pad extremely tough.Well made exact fit on the crossbar section (two pads needed for full crossbar coverage). The pad attached with hook and loop tabs integral to the cover. I had to compress the pad to get the hook and loop tabs to overlap completely. That gives the cover a desirable snug fit.
The covers have a little Yakima name tab sewn onto the edge of the cover.
These pads help protect my hang glider during transport. They are very effective and work well.

First of all I ordered two and received two but they were supposed to have arrived Monday paying a $[XX] shipping fee. They actually showed up today at 10:53 AM which was 1.5 days late. Both products were fine but the delay has made me have to change travel plans. I'm not happy about that!
As described they do the job well on all of my yakima products they are touch and can handle dragging my very heavy extension ladders back and fourth for many years I will always buy more when needed
