This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range D. And it's mounted on this 15 inch glossy black Margay series aluminum wheel with the five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof.
And we mentioned it's the Margay series, which you can see as a five spoke design has a glossy black finish to it, but if you notice around the edge of the spokes, they do have a nice machine finish. And even on the outer lip as a machine finish, they give it a nice shine to it. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. Now a few dimensions on the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is six inches wide.
Bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs. In this case, five. It's a little tricky, because what you need to do is pick either one of these holes, let's say this one, and you're gonna measure across to either this hole or this hole, whichever one. But the trick is when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever hole you measure to.
So on this one, if you measured that it would be 4 1/2 inches. So that means it's a five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 2,150 pounds. If you notice, there is no center cap. It does not come with the center cap.
If you do want one, we do sell those separately. We wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter of this pilot hole right here. 'Cause when you install your center cap, it'll go through that hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now the tire that's modeled on this, it is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester pile for a nice long life. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial pile tire, so it's great for highway use. It is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer Tire, has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for use on trailers, not intended for use on any other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST for Special Trailer 205/75R15. R means it's a radial. Section width eight inches. Overall diameter bottom to the top. When it's inflated, it's 27.1. The tire is a low range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire, so it has a maximum load capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI. This tire wheel assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. Now this does come with a speed rating on the tire, and it's stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the size tire we went over two numbers. And then the letter L, speed rating L will mean that this is a 75 mile per hour speed rate at tire. Now they do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years and flat tire services available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico. But that should do it for the review on the Westlake ST 205/75R15 radial trailer tire in a low range D, mounted on this 15 inch glossy black Margay series aluminum wheel with the five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
