This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, we're looking at a nice Westgate ST235/80R16 radial tire with a nice 16 inch eagle aluminum wheel with an 8 on 6.5 inch lug pattern, load range G and a gun metal gray color. So folks, this tire and wheel assembly here is gonna be great for your RV's, campers, and trailers. The aluminum wheel itself is super durable, lightweight, and rust proof. Now it does support what's called an eagle series spoke design here. As you can see all those triangles on the outside there.
That's in a gun metal gray. And it also has an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. Now the back has been powder coated and everything, but it just doesn't have that extra last coating on it like the front does. Now this does feature steel lug inserts. So the lug nut wells here are gonna help keep the wheel securely in place on the trailer hub and prevent holes from wearing down over time.
Now this will eliminate the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts and then it's gonna give you a nice radial tire on top of that rim, which is constructed of double steel belts and double polyester plies for a long, long life. Now the nylon tread firming belt inside the tire overlays, those are gonna help prevent tread separation and it comes with tread wear indicators to make it easy to see the tread depth. Now this is a radial ply tire so it's great for highway use. Now that being said, it is also an ST or special trailer tire. That just means it has sturdy sidewalls and it can handle heavy loads.
But more importantly, it's specifically for trailers only and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now the manufacturer will give you a complimentary two year roadside assistance for flat tires. That's available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico and again, that's through the manufacturer. And this whole assembly meets DOT specifications. The tire meets FMWSS specifications and the wheel itself meets all SAE J1204 standards.
Now if you need a center cap that's sold separately, the pilot hole diameter is 4.9 inches. Now some information on the wheel studs and everything. You can either use 1/2 inch by 20, 9/16 by 18, and again, it's an 8 on 6.5 inch lug pattern. Now the way you get your lug pattern, obviously there's eight lugs and on either one you measure center to center straight across two lugs, and that's gonna give you that 6.5 inch in this case. Now overall the diameter of this tire is 30.8 inches and the section width is 9.3 inches. It's a load range E, meaning it's a 10 ply tire. The maximum capacity on the tire is 3,520 pounds at 80 PSI. The maximum speed is 75 miles per hour and is a speed rating of L and all that information's molded right on the tire sidewall. You can't see here with the lighting and everything, but rest assured it's all molded there. It has a five year warranty on the tire, one year on the wheel, and once again, those two years of roadside assistance from the manufacturer. Folks, this is a nice combo for your Westlake tire. If you need this size and this load range and the lug pattern and everything, probably a great option for you. We carry some couple other colors as well with that same wheel design and pattern, so check those out as well. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for your time and have a great day.
