The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.
To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Stud mount with included hardware. 25' Harness.Since I just installed the lights yesterday, I can’t vouch for the longevity of the product, only time will tell. What I can say is that these PM lights looked and felt like high quality lights one would use in a commercial application. The lights had a little weight to them and utilized brass nuts and bolts, an excellent choice for boat trailers. The kit even came with four heat shrink electrical connections. I easily installed the lights and they look great!! Will shop at etrailer again.
very easy ordering online without any hiccups. Package came a lot faster than expected. Just received the lights today, should have the trailer rewired and light installed in a couple of weeks.

Works well. Rugged. Fits inside a 2x6 aluminum square tube.
Very good product. I replaced the original junk lights and associated wiring on my utility trailer with these. I didn't use the license plate holder as it mounted the plate too close to the ground. The lights continue to work perfectly after many miles on rough roads, rain and snow.
Perfect fit! these were going on a long neglected trailer with a long neglected boat that I am going to restore. This light kit, along with new tires and a quick wheel bearing repack job and she made the 200 mile trip home with ease.
Gave this as a gift, but did install it. The installation was easy, and as far as I know the lights are still working perfectly.
Kit worked perfectly and instructions were easy to follow. I really appreciated the videos showing installation.

After a year in service, no issues with the lights!! Still work and as bright as the day installed!
