Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Ultra-Fab speed socket power drill adapter for scissor jacks, part is UF48-979005.Here's what your adapter is going to look like. It's really straight forward setup. This is going to work with any drill that has a minimum opening of 3/8 of an inch, or it can even go into 1/4 inch bit drivers, so it's a pretty versatile setup. Basically, we're going to place it in whatever power tool we want to use, tighten that chuck down, it goes down on it. Then, we can operate our jacks. One thing to keep in mind, if you are backing the screw out, what would traditionally be loosening, that's going to lower the jack. If you go into the tightening, or if you turn it towards the right, that's going to raise the jack.

We'll start with it in reverse. You can see, that's going to be much quicker, much easy, and more simple, than using that hand crank. Especially when it gets hot, the humidity's up, bending over for an extended period of time is not something you want to do. This has been designed to work with the Ultra-Fab scissor jacks, of course, but it'll work with any scissor jack that uses a 3/4 inch socket, here on the end. Now, to raise it back up, would be the opposite process.

Turn our drill so it's tightening, and you can see right up in that stored position. Now, some scissor jacks are going to have a pin that goes through a circle, or there's going to be a flattened tab with a hole in it for J hook to go in. This isn't going to work for those applications, so that's something to keep in mind. That'll complete our look at the Ultra-Fab speed socket power drill adapter for scissor jacks.

You need this on scissor jacks with your impact wrench

by:

Works as advertised. Good fit. Makes the job easier

by:

Excellent product - it was just what I needed - thanks for the quick service - this will be a real benefit to me as I have had a stroke and need the assistance in lowering my trailer jacks ... suggest and add-on of axle grease for the jack screws..

Works great - used several times - so much easier to set up the trailer now

by:

If you have or use scissor jacks under your RV, you'll love this accessory. Just insert it in your cordless drill and in seconds you'll have your jacks extended or retracted. This is a must have! Having a hand crank in addition is also a must to tweak the jacks extension height or if your drill battery dies.

works great!

I am very happy with the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks. It works just as advertised. I own a cordless impact driver and experimented with chucking up a 3/4" socket to raise and lower the jacks. Don't do it that way! You stand in jeopardy of damaging the jack. Using a convention cordless drill-driver to slowly spin the fitting still requires caution, but is much better. Just remember; once the jack makes contact with the ground, switch over to hand cranking the last few revs. to firm up.

by:

This socket saves a ton of time setting up and taking down my stabilizer jacks with the drill that I keep in my trailer. I can recommend it to anyone who would rather spend their time playing when camping instead of working.

by:

I bought 2 sets of the 24" ultra-fab scissor jacks and the speed socket. My small 12v cordless drill runs these up and down just fine.
I am looking forward to the reduced movement in my large fifth wheel trailer while these jacks are deployed.

by:

Great! Thank You

by:

I use this in my drill to quickly adjust the weight distribution on my Hensley hitch. Saves time and effort a wrench would require.

by:

This well made adapter is perfect for using my cordless drill to lower & raise our stabilizer jacks.
It's well made and very reasonably priced.

by:

This is a life safer for me. Using the drill adapter attached to a portable electric drill makes lowering and raising the four stabilizers on my trailer a breeze. No stress on my back or knees being bent over for what at times seems forever cranking by hand.

by:

1. The product is excellent! The product information says it is 10 times faster. I say 20 times faster and takes 0 effort. No more squatting over, cranking away in the heat and humidity. 5 seconds with a drill and Bam!
2. Etrailers price was excellent.
3. I used the more inexpensive of the 3 shipping options, which was $8 and it arrived in only 3 days.
Thank you Etrailer. This is my second purchase from Etariler and I will always check with Etrailer first.

by:

exactly what i expected

by:

Another great order from etrailer.com. My ordering was simple, the shipping was much faster than expected. The communication from them was solid, every step of process someone sent me an update.

Extremely happy with this supplier.

by:

Thank you for promptly packing and shipping my order. It arrived a day earlier than expected!

This product will be a BIG help lowering and raising the RV stabilizers. You offered the best solution at the best price - plus outstanding delivery!

by:

This power drill adapter is the perfect complement for our new Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks!

by:

Works as advertised. Not much to rate as this is basically just a socket driver for a drill, but the shipping was fast and this was a convenient item as an add on to another larger sale more unique to etrailer. Transaction was flawless as etrailer always seems to do online sales well.

by:

Great service as usual. Shipped out right a way and was delivered in 2 days. The stabilizer jacks and the socket bit are very good quality.

  • Recommended Flatbed Cargo Trailer Stabilizer Leg for Rear of Trailer
For your Sure Trac ST9614 HLODOD-B-140 trailer I recommend adding the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 # UF48-979002. I believe these will work well to stabilize your trailer for loading. They can be adjusted using the hand crank or you can use the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks # UF48-979005 if you prefer. The best scissor jack you can use on your 2017 Thor Vegas motorhome is the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs - 22" Lift - 6,000 lbs # UF39-941707. This will give you the electric motors on each side to assist with leveling as well. If you want the more standard scissor jacks, I recommend the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002 which I also recommend the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter # UF48-979005 for ease of function.

These jacks are able to be out of the way when not needed and then add 1000 lb capacity support when needed and up to 650 lbs of lift. • Can I Convert My IronWorks Industries Square 7K Jack into a Drill Powered Jack?
Hello Jeffrey, I cannot recommend modifying your jack to go against how the manufacturer says to use their product. With that said I can't recommend that you use a socket adapter like the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket Power Drill Adapter for Scissor Jacks part # UF48-979005 because it is outside of the typical use of the jack defined by the manufacturer. If you were to cut the handle of the jack, thread it, screw on a nut that had a 3/4" or 19mm head on it and weld that on to the shaft of...

I have a solution for you, but when I called Lippert to confirm the size of the bolt on the Lippert Components Scissor Jack # LC285325 they informed me that this particular jack should not be raised or lowered using a power tool, but it does have a 3/4" nut. For that reason, I recommend instead going with the Stromberg Carlson # JSC-24-IND which works with a standard 3/4" socket. If you needed a matching socket for this jack, you can use the Ultra-Fab Speed Socket which is an adapter for...

  • Replacement A-Frame Tongue Jack That Fits Three Hole 3" Mounting Bolt Pattern
The 3" bolt hole spacing is the standard pattern for mounting bolt holes on most trailers. The Lippert Quick Drop Tongue Jack # LC733926 that you are looking at will match that same pattern. Do note that the holes on the jack are oblong to account for slight variations in the size. One thing I do recommend verifying is the diameter of the tube going though the hole.
