Quick Truck Bed Access
To access your truck bed, simply pull one of the release cables at the tailgate to release the latches. There are cables on the driver's and passenger's side so you can open the tailgate from either side of your vehicle. The cover can then be rolled up in seconds to store at the cab. This allows you to haul large or tall cargo without the need to completely remove the cover.
To store the cover, roll it tight and secure it with the attached safety straps. Then, secure the ends of the safety straps to the retaining loops on the side of the rails.
You can remove the cover completely in seconds without tools. Simply slide the quick-release guides on the underside of the header away from the side rails to release the cover.
Durable and Stylish Construction
The premium, 5-layer polyester and vinyl fabric layer of the cover is resistant to UV rays and inclement weather. This state-of-the-art material has been tested to withstand extreme temperatures from -40 degrees to 120 degrees F. The material is highly resistant to dirt, and it will maintain a clean appearance more easily than a standard vinyl cover.
The black fabric top layer and all-black aluminum slats offer a "blacked out" look when the cover is rolled up. The strong, woven material keeps the slats perfectly aligned to ensure that the cover will roll up evenly every time. Standard soft covers can get lopsided as you roll them up.
The hybrid cover's weight capacity also matches many hard covers that do not conveniently roll up. It is strong enough to hold up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight when it's rolled out. The aluminum slats also protect your cargo from being damaged by hail and falling objects.
Enhanced Security
The hard aluminum slats of this cover provide better protection against theft when compared with a soft cover that can be cut open with a knife. There are slam latches and additional security latches to provide maximum security.
To secure your truck bed, press down on the corner ends of the cover to fasten the 2 slam latches at the tailgate. The latches will lock the cover to the vehicle when used in conjunction with a closed and locked tailgate.
There are additional security latches located at the mid-point of the bed. These latches lock automatically with the slam latches, so you won't have to crawl to the middle of the bed to lock them. These side rail latches prevent thieves from pulling up the cover and sticking their hands underneath to get into your truck bed.
Easy, Clamp-On Installation
The Sentry side rails mount to your truck bed rails with bolt-on clamps for an effortless, no-drill installation. These in-bed rails do not overlap your truck bed stake pockets, so you can still use the stake pockets to mount accessories such as tie-down anchors.
The side rails have built-in lips to make sure that they stay square with the bed rails as you tighten the clamps. This self-leveling design makes it easy to install the rails, and it ensures the cover rolls evenly every time.
Installing the cover assembly to the side rails is simple. Place the rolled-up cover on the rails near the bulkhead of your truck. Insert the screws on the leading edge of the cover into the screw holes on the rails. Then slide the quick-release guides on the cover assembly until they lock in place under the rails.
Unroll the cover completely, and close the tailgate. Push down on the end of the cover to make sure both slam latches lock. To prevent wind from lifting the cover, press down along the length of both rails before driving. This will secure the hook-and-loop fasteners to the rails.

Constant and frequent communication to resolve an issue that I had that is not their fault.
I received this product, missing all of the mounting hardware. I am not sure exactly what happened, but the box was partially damaged, so maybe it fell out? Or maybe it was shipped without it? I am not sure. I immediately contacted eTrailer and they were in contact with the manufacturer that day. I confirmed what I had and the manufacturer shipped me the parts as quick as possible. Slight delay - but I got everything.
Now to the product itself: It is ok. In this space, there are not a ton of options. This product was appealing to me for the runs to Target, grocery store, etc where I did not want to put everything in the cab and have it rolling around. This seemed like a great solution and for that it is.
However, there are a few issues (some because of my setup):
1. I have a tri-fold tonneau cover, so I can not mount this at the very back of the bed, near the tailgate because the bracket would prevent the cover from closing. So, I needed to move it closer to the middle of the bed, which is ok, but not ideal as now I will have to get into the bed to properly load the cargo bag full. Additionally, because of the tri-fold tonneau, mounting close to the cab does not make sense because it would be covered by the last fold - there is really no great solution
2. The bag is ok, but I expected it to be larger.
3. The bottom of the bag is a flimsy material. The moment I put something really heavy in it, I am pretty sure the material will bend and have a permanent fold. I would like something like a hard plastic - which they provide in the form of 1 side support - to be used for the bottom of the bag. Maybe I can fabricate one.
Anyway, like I said, the customer service of eTrailer is top notch. The bag is just meh, but for what it is I think I can work with it.
TruXedo with a tri-fold tonneau works (with one small change)…
I just installed the TruXedo Truck Luggage Expedition Truck Bed Cargo Management System TX1705211 from etrailer.com . I wasn’t sure if it was going to work. I have the Moper soft tonneau cover Part Number: 82211273A and the OEM linex bed spray. There are two handles on the tonneau cover that clip the cover down to the lip of the bed. They would not clear without a modification.
So, I cut out a slot in the mounting brackets. The handles are able to close without issue. I can also access the cargo when I unfold the cover and unlatch the front lever on either side. The apposing lever acts as a hinge. Everything is easy access (other then the lift but that’s my issue. can’t fault the storage for that.
Anyway, With the slot cut out, I didn’t have any structure issues. I wasn’t sure if these pinch clamps were going to hold but it came out great.
I have the 6.4’ bed with a 5th wheel. The storage is 16” so it clears the hitch with plenty of room. You can slide it from side to side to put your heavy tool or hitch bag off to the side. I also have room under the storage for (so far) ten sheets of ½ plywood. Not bad
The only issue….. if there was one.. is the bottom plastic plates don’t hold the weight the rest of the storage can. I’m going to cut out a couple pieces of aluminum to replace the bottle plates. But other then that. It works great for me.
On a side note, the brackets were not in the box with the rest of the system. I called etrailer and they sent the brackets. i spoke with 3 different people when i called and they all must sit together as the response was seamless. They jumped on it for me. I was impressed.
Product arrived a day early. Everything was there and ready to put together. Always satisfied with etrailer. They have never let me down.
Great product, still looks as good as I got it on Day 1! Protects my F150 Bed no matter what I throw at it. Looks pretty darn cool and is great for separating the bed plus holding my stuff.

Works great, easy to install. Holds a lot of stuff from tools to groceries. I use it often.
I added a 3/16” plywood floor slipped into the bottom panel for really heavy stuff, helps keep it from touching the truck bed.
It does fit a full size truck bed but has gaps on either side. Would have been 5 stars if it had a little more room.
The TruXedo seems to be high quality and robust, and was straightforward to install, although it helped to have viewed the etrailer.com video before the TruXedo arrived as the instructions that come with it are pretty much bare bones.

My review still stands. I rarely use the product because it is such a hassle to use and when it is not in use, I have to store it in the house, so in all honesty, it is just taking up space in my basement because the use cases for it are just so limited.
