Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this TruRyde 12 inch right hand self-adjusting electric brake assembly. This self-adjusting passenger side electric trailer brake assembly is going to measure right at 12 inches wide. And measuring the brake pad, we are sitting right at two inches wide. And this is rated for up to 7,000 pound axles.
And this will work for 14 1/2 inches, 15 inches, 16 inches, and 16 1/2 inch wheel sizes. And as you can see, it has a five bolt mounting flange bolt pattern. And electric brakes are easier to install and they offer more user control than hydraulic brakes. They require only an electric brake controller, which is sold separately. So there's no actuator or hydraulic lines that are necessary.
Self adjusting brakes do not require periodic manual adjustment like standard brakes. And the durable magnet is thoroughly tested for pole force and conductivity. The SAE rated composite friction material lines the brake shoes, and the non metallic material is chemically bonded to the shoes. And the top and bottom of the edges of the shoes, if you can see that there, they are chamfered for smooth operation. Now this again is going to be for the right hand side.
