Lever-Action Derringer Handles

Standard turnbuckles have to be manually tightened, which can be a bit of a chore. TorkLift AnchorGuard turnbuckles with Derringer handles eliminate this difficult step. Just hook one end of each turnbuckle onto your camper and hook the other end onto the camper tie-downs that are mounted to your truck bed rails or stake pockets, or your bumper. Then, to tighten the turnbuckles, flip the lever-action handles down - it's that simple. Pins are included to secure the handles in place, ensuring that your tie-down system remains tight and secure. For additional security and peace of mind, use TorkLift's FastGun pin locks (TLS9500 - sold separately) in place of the pins to more effectively lock the system down.

TorkLift AnchoGuard Turnbuckle with Derringer Handle in Use

When you reach your campsite and you're ready to set up, just remove the pins (or locks), and flip the handles up to release the tension on the turnbuckles. With the tension released, you can quickly and easily remove the turnbuckles, activate your jacks, and set up your camper. This quick-disconnect feature is also great if one of the attached turnbuckles covers your truck's fuel tank door. No need to manually twist an older style turnbuckle and remove chains to disengage the entire system. Just pop the handle up, unhook the turnbuckle so you can move it out of the way, and fuel up.

not real happy

by:

The product has worked great, we have used these on our truck for almost a year and we have no complaints.

by:

Product working freat on a 2008 F350 CC Dually Long Bed, with a rather large Palomino Popup Slide In Cab Over Camper. Not sure the exact length, but hangs off the back about a foot and a half, wider than the rear tail lights of the truck. Hope that helps, and makes sense! I also use the happy jack bumper and front ear looking like tie down anchors on the truck.

Service was excellent. I ordered my parts Thursday evening and opted for next day shipping and they were on the porch before 9:30am friday.

by:

The turnbuckles fit perfectly and great quality.

by:

Wrong part for the tie-downs I ordered. etrailer made the exchange without hesitation.

by:

The lock nuts did not fully tighten to the turnbuckle because the weld interfered with the nut before it could seat. The short rods were too short which necessitated a trip to Home Depot to fetch longer ones. I move it up one star because of fast delivery and consistent order ease with etrailer. But TorkLift your name and reputation is taking a bit of a beating with this product.

They are working. The competitive options are scarce therefore I feel they are overpriced for what they are. But they work. The quality is marginal.

This first thing to know is that this review is for the TLS9020 as sold and delivered by etrailor on this date. This is important because the picture of the product on the etrailor site shows square section turnbuckle bodies as opposed to circular sectioned turnbuckle bodies as shown on the Torklift site.
The instruction booklet that is included does in fact show the circular turnbuckles so I am assuming the cicular ones are a newer model than the ones I recieved. For my need I much prefered the rectangular ones and I am very pleased to have recieved what the etrailor site pictured.
If you recieve the rectangular TLS9020 as I did there are a couple of small issues easily corrected. 1)the product is shipped with all stainless hardware except for the 1/2"
zinc plated square nuts that you are supposed to insert in the body of the derringer handle to attach the threaded rod. I replaced these with stainless stop nuts. 2) there was some amount of excess weld on the the handles that dis-allowed correct alignment of the stainless 1/2" threaded rod into the handle. Grind or cut some of the excess off to correct. 3)the long "front" labled turnbuckles are in fact springloaded but the short "rear" ones have no cushions. For my camper tie down application this was not an problem. 4)the little rubber o-rings which are a handy way to gauge the tension were not included. No big deal. Just go get some at your local hardware store.
These are minor issues for the quality you get. I have used all of the other products other manufacturers sell. Don't waste your money. The Torklift ones are the only way to go and more than worth the cost.

  • Does The Built-In Bed Step Affect Fitment Of Camper Tie-Downs On A 2023 Ford F-350 Dually
I spoke with TorkLift and confirmed that the steps built into the bed of your 2023 Ford F-350 dually will not interfere with the fitment of your camper tie-downs. According to TorkLift's fitment guide the correct tie-downs for your truck are the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Front # TLF2021 and rear # TLF3008. To complete the setup you'll need some turnbuckles like the TorkLift AnchorGuard Derringer Turnbuckles for Truck Camper Tie-Downs # TLS9020.

Since you indicated that your 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty Dually has an 8 Foot Bed with a board or step underneath the truck bed with a factory installed hitch the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Front # TLF4006 and TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Rear # TLF3004 you referenced would be a compatible fit. These two are the only compatible TorkLift options for your vehicle. You will also need some turnbuckles to secure your truck bed camper to your tie-downs....

Hi Paul; straps like the # 297-9RSDB are not made to be used on truck campers even if they are capable of handling the weight. • Recommended Frame Mounted Camper Tie-Downs For A 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500
The distinction you're referring to is about whether or not your Silverado has running boards or steps that sit under the bed and could block the fitment of a frame mounted camper tie-down. The hitch stipulation is in place because some people will install a TorkLift SuperHitch and they offer tie-downs that can be easily bolted to it instead of mounting separately to the frame. • Options for Turnbuckles For Torklift Tie-Downs on 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed
We do have other turnbuckles available besides the FastGun like the # TLS9529-2-LK. These are a more premium option, and popular because they are so easy to use. They also lock to help protect from theft. For more economical turnbuckles I recommend the # TLS9000 or the # TLS9050A. The # TLS9020 you looked at are not for use with TorkLift frame-mounted tie-downs, so they won't work with your setup.

For the rear you would need part # TLF3007. To complete the setup you'll also need turnbuckles, like the TorkLift AnchorGuard Derringer Turnbuckles # TLS9020.
