Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, I'm gonna take a look at the replacement coupler pin kit for the Dexter brake actuators. Now this coupler pin right here is what'll secure the actuator onto your hitch ball. Just gonna pop up an insert to show you what we're talking about. If you look at that brake actuator, you can see how the latch is open.

So it's ready to be attached to the hitch ball. And then you can see this pin hanging there. So basically when you drop that actuator onto the hitch ball, you close that latch. To keep it secured to the hitch ball, you'll slide this pin through. When you slide that pin through, it'll keep that latch from opening and keeps it attached to your hitch ball.

Now this is designed to work with the Dexter over the center latch actuators like the one showing there. It works on part number T4839100, T4500600, T4839120 and the T4839000. All four of those actuators we do sell separately on a website. Now if you also notice this retaining ring that's included. This retaining ring you can see is what'll hold this tether cable to the brake actuator.

Basically, this steel cable keeps the pin tethered to your actuator so that when you do remove it from there, you don't lose it. It'll just stay hooked on there and hang. And then you can get your pin, stick it in there. This part is made in the USA. You can also see that it'll come with the labels that you can see on the actuator.
