Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area on both the driver's side and the passenger's side. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four-way flat trailer connector. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2023 Kia Telluride vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year, model, vehicle, that will show if this will work for your application. Now, this will provide a four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights.
It is compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters that we do sell separately. And this kit does connect very quickly and easily. All you have to do is locate your connection points, which are in the rear cargo area, and your instructions here will show you where those connection points are. And then you'll just plug in these connectors, one on the driver's side, one on the passenger side. Ground your right wire and then run your power wire to your vehicle's battery.
Now, it does include this black box here. This is a circuit protected tail light converter, and this is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a powered module. That's right, it'll connect directly to your battery, and it's to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. If you notice, the four-way itself has this integrated four-way dust cap on it.
So when you're not plugged into your trailer, you can just put that cap over those terminals and it protects it from any damage or from the elements. Now, a few specs on this wiring harness. Maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuits is five amps per circuit. For taillights, it's 7.5 amps. Now, it does come with everything shown here on the table.
I'm gonna sort of go through how it would install, how you use all these parts. But again, it gives you a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe all that. So basically, as we've mentioned, what you'll do is go to your rear cargo area, get the connection points that are usually behind the taillights, and then you'll start on the driver's side. And you'll take the T connector that has the yellow wire on it. That's for your driver's side connection. Unplug your harness, plug that right into it, and then take the other T connector with the length of green wire. This will run over to your passenger side. And do the same, unplug this and then plug the T connector in. Once those are connected, what you'll wanna do is this converter box right here has a little weight to it. So you do wanna attach it to a flat surface. They have a tab on it with a hole that you could use a screw. If not, you can use the included double face tape to attach it down. And then you'll run this four-way out towards the back. And then you'll have two remaining wires. The white wire and the black wire. White wire, if you notice, has the eyelet on it. So you want to connect that to a nearby ground if there's one. If not, they do offer a grounding screw that you can make your own ground. And then the black wire will run to your vehicle's battery. And they do give you a length of wire, as you can see, to run that wire and the connector. So you'll take a butt connector, attach this to one end of the length of wire, and then run your wire up towards the front. And you don't wanna connect it directly to the battery, you wanna run it through the inline fuse holder. So you'll take the other butt connector, put it on this end, and then connect it to one side of the inline fuse holder. And then on the other side of the fuse holder, you'll install this eyelet connector, and this is what'll connect to your battery. Once that's connected, pop it open, take the included 15-amp fuse, put it into your fuse connector, put your cap back on, and now your system's all ready to go. If you notice, they do give you some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring. But that's gonna do it for the review on this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four-way flat trailer connector.
