What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we have a trailer and we're gonna be talking about some safety chains. These are really essential and you need them for your trailer just to keep everybody safe. If this ball disconnects it's gonna catch and your trailer is not gonna go down the road. But these specifically are gonna be the Titan Chain Trailer Chains. So we have a couple of different options.
One, it all comes down to length. So we had the issue with this trailer. The ones that we're on here before we're a little too short, just because the ball mount on our customer's vehicle is a step mount. So it's a little bit further back. So length is something that we guys are looking at whenever trying to decide which one's right.
And with the Titan Chain, we have three different lengths. As you can see down here, we have 72 inches, we have 60 inches and we also have the 48 inches. And if you're doing this, it's just one big piece. So basically just measure from where your chains connect to your trailer, up to the loop, and then add a couple inches. 'Cause you don't want them to be too tight, 'cause when you start turning, they'll start to pull and you don't want them too loose 'cause we don't want these hitting the ground.
This is the desired result. So take a mental picture here. That is what we're really looking for. And it worked out really well. These are the 60 inch chains and it works out pretty good.
So going in depth with the chains, one, the link diameter is gonna be about 1/4 of an inch. So that kind of comes into play if you have a setup like this, to where you can remove these really quickly. So if you have this, these chains will work with it because of the link diameter being the size that they are. And another thing to think about is the S-Hooks. So we're gonna have two different options. One's gonna have the safety clip. I just like these just because why not You never know what happens. If you hit a speed bump or run over something, it could hit the bottom of the chain and these could fall off. But with the clip you're nice and safe. So this usually goes up towards the hitch. So these are gonna have a link diameter of about 7/16th of an inch. And as you can see, it's gonna basically fit any trailer hitch that you really have. These aren't really not gonna fit any of the ones that we have. So whenever you're searching, you don't really have to worry about this not being able to fit on top of there. So all you really need to figure out is what length you really need. And then the hooks is just gonna be your preference really, if you want the snappers grab snappers, if you don't, you don't need them. But another thing to kind of think about is the capacity of them. This one's 5,000 pounds. This trailer is about 3,500 pounds max capacity. So the 3000 pound chains weren't really ideal for this setup. And we wanna be a little bit safer whenever we're going down the road. So if you have a larger trailer and you're kind of in the middle, I would definitely recommend kind of thinking about what you're putting on it and maybe going and hopping up to a little bit bigger thicker chain. But at the end of the day, it's gonna keep you safe when you're going down the road. And that'll do it for a look at the Titan Chain Trailer Safety Chains..

Zinc-coated steel resists corrosion.the two first things I replaced on my new trailer were the cables that fray and then poke you. And a coupler that the latch just wouldn't work smoothly on no matter how it was adjusted. I much prefer chains to cables.
Wanted safety chains with the retention clip as the stock ones did not have them. Very pleased with my purchase.
Easy replacement for rusted, coiled up cables.
When I upgraded my truck's hitch from a built-into-the-bumper hitch to a frame-mounted receiver hitch, the safety chains for my small stock trailer weren't long enough. This new chain will install on my trailer just like my current 5-foot chain with two hooks, but have more "leash". eTrailer's staff was so helpful in confirming I was getting a chain of the correct rating!
Excellent service very helpful product was packaged incorrectly they took care of problem with one phone call highly recommended
Works great on a lighter receiver. Does not completely latch on my F350 receiver, though it has never come unhooked in use.
Very Good Customer Support.
Thank You
This chain was exactly what my trailer needed ! It works great and is quite a bit more attractive than the old rusty one it replaced. I will not hesitate to use it in the future on other trailers.
Nice safety chain, I need a 72" Long and because I Have a upgrade my new 14" long shank drop hitch, perfect and work good so for, no more tight turn
Chains work great! The spring clip on the S hook retain well. Couldn’t ask for a better chain to do the job.
The perfect item and fast delivery! Wouldn’t hesitate to order from e trailer again!
Well, the safety chains look good. They appear to be good quality. I won't be able to put them on this weekend because it's going to rain. I'll have to wait until next weekend. I ordered the 6' chain because I couldn't find a 5 & 1/2' chain. My 4' chain was too short.
It arrives on time and a great product with quality. I use it on a pop up on a WD hitch in which the original one is a bit short.
This was a perfect match for my 2007 Palomino pop up. It even looked better than the original one I had!
My kids think the new chains look cool.
Worked as they should
Excellent product, perfect size for what I need. S-Hook with Latch is easily to use and safe.
I’m rebuilding a 1977 Jayco Finch pop-up trailer. Just like OEM.
just what i ordered fast shipping!!
Great chain for a great price!

Original chains had “S” hook connectors. Wanted something with a spring clip to prevent detachment while towing. Replacement chains satisfied my needs.
