Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
The wheel on this assembly has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.
The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. This also eliminates the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.
To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.
Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Provider ST235 80 R16 Load Range E Radial Trailer Tire with 16 inch black Vesper Mod wheel with an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. This tire and wheel assembly is going to be ideal for your stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. This special trailer tire or ST tire has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now this assembly features the tire match-mounted and balanced to the wheel for ride comfort and durability. The match mounting of tires and wheels in case you don't know, is a process in which the tire installation position on the wheel is specifically selected to help minimize the final force of imbalance.
The method of match mounting involves aligning the tire's lightest spot with the wheel's heaviest spot to eliminate most of the radial force that can cause tire and suspension wear. Then the final balance is done by applying weights to specific spots on the front and the back of the wheel, as you can see right here, and that also is going to help eliminate any chance of uneven wear or vibration. Now this radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for a long life. Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90 degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip.
This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. So as a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup which is going to lead to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds. The nylon tread-firming belt overlays are going to help prevent tread separation and the tread depth bars are going to offer a quick visual indicator of tread wear. And this tire is bake tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time. The automotive-grade tread has sipes that are going to channel water away from the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
And this tire has a tread depth of eleven thirty seconds of an inch. Now, as I mentioned before and as we have stamped here on the tire, this is an ST 235 80 R16. The section width is 9.25 inches and the outer diameter when this is fully inflated is 30.79 inches. This is a load range E, meaning it has a 10 ply rating and the maximum load is 3,520 pounds at 80 psi. And this has a speed rating of M, indicating a maximum speed of 81 miles per hour.
Now this Vesper steel wheel with this modular design as you can see here, is sturdy and corrosion resistant. This has a really nice black acrylic enamel finish that's going to help resist chipping and other damage better than powdercoat finishes. This finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and it covers an e-coat primer layer so it has excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating of more than 1,000 hours. The stud holes on the steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheels stays tight against your trailer hub. This is also going to eliminate the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts. Now the rim dimensions measuring the diameter from bead seat to bead seat, we're sitting at 16 inches in diameter and the width of the wheel is 6 inches. And as I mentioned earlier, our bolt pattern is eight on six and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number of our bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here you just want to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the other bolt hole on the opposite side and that is where you're going to get your measurement. So eight on six and a half means eight bolt holes with six and a half inches from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side. This wheel capacity is 3,860 pounds. The wheel stud size is half an inch by 20 or nine sixteenth of an inch by 18. The center cap is sold separately, but if you happen to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it measures the pilot diameter of 5.12 inches. Now this tire and wheel assembly meets the Department of Transportation specifications and the tire exceeds the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications. I also want to mention that this does have a two-year platinum plus warranty which includes emergency tire chain service and other benefits. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I previously ordered a 14" trailer tire that came in a box that was large enough to hold this one. I expected this one to arrive packaged as well.
Excellent service! The tire was balanced and filled with air! The tire was backordered but they kept me in the loop the whole time!
This was an emergency replacement and delivery was fast. Item was exactly as they described. Etrailer has always delivered as promised, I highly recommend them.
I was more than happy with the spare tire that arrived. Shipping was fast and on time and the tire was balanced! I would absolutely buy from etrailer again
Great quality product, which was neatly packaged and delivered. Can’t say enough about road force balancing and was surprised to find that on a trailer tire set up. I’m a first time customer but look forward to being a repeat customer online experience exceptional, product exceptional, and I appreciate the detailed specs on all the products. The videos were an added bonus to give me a chance to see the product. Thank you!
I have one of the Vesper wheel that is scratched Do you have any touch up paint
Glad that there were enough details on the wheel & tire combo in order to purchase the correct one the first time. It’s also nice that it comes balanced and ready to go.
Tire and wheel match perfectly with what I already have on the trailer. I’ve bought a lot of things from etrailer, and I’ve always been satisfied.
Good quality spare tire for the trailer. Hopefully will never need to use it. E trailer had in stock, delivery was fast, and customer service is always top notch!!
Great price and a good quality tire and wheel. I have them on my small dump trailer and they work great
Bought this for a trip to Florida to pickup a used fifth wheel we just purchased. Not knowing the integrity of the current rubber on it was troubling. Concerns were confirmed in Georgia with catastrophic blowout. Used this tire / rim as spare without issue to Michigan. Performed well and has been mounted as underside spare. since
Blew one tired and bent the wheel of my spare. These match perfect. Good quality and an honest price.
Tire is a standard tire and the silver wheel looks better than the stock white. Overall very satisfied
