Hey guys, Kevin at etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Valterra Bladex single valve with hub to hub fittings here on our 2011 Coachman Freelander Class C motor home. This single waste valve is really easy to use. All you have to do is simply pull your handle out. Once that's out, it releases the blade into this section of it and allows water to pass through our pipes down to our other valve. And then when we're done with that, we can go ahead and simply push it in. Now if you do have issues trying to get down to this, you can also switch over to our cable-actuated ones.
It's gonna basically have a cable that runs from the waste valve up to wherever you wanna mount it and then you can easily pull it without having to really bend over or get under your motor home. As far as installation goes, this can be a little bit challenging if you have to actually cut off any of your other fittings or your pipes, if maybe you have a straight pipe coming through here and you have to install that in there and you're gonna need to make sure that you also grab the correct ABS cement. That way you properly have it sealed up with those pipes. If not, if you don't have to do all that, if you're just replacing one that you already have, go ahead and just take those bolts out and replace just the valve itself. It'll make your life a whole lot easier.
We can start by removing the bolts on our old one now. Now we have all the bolts out, we can go ahead and remove our valve. Pop out any of the gaskets. The old gaskets are trashed. So the easiest way to really do this is just to remove the four bolts that hold these flanges and then go ahead and just swap out the waste valve itself.
All right, as we get that last bolt out, you can see that the flange will pop right off of our waste valve. Like I said, you can easily get these and replace 'em. There's quite a few people that'll break the handles off. Maybe they have something in the road pop up and hit it and break it off. And it's just a lot easier to swap this out instead of replacing the entire system.
So if we take a look of inside here, there's gonna be these little gaskets. You can pop those off. We're gonna wanna use the newer ones. I'm sure the old ones on there are probably ready to be retired. Go ahead, we'll stick on new gaskets and we can slip in our valve and insert our new bolts. Now that they're all hand tight, come back and just tighten them up with my wrenches. Make sure they're nice and snug. You don't wanna go too hard, though, 'cause this is just plastic so there's a good chance of it breaking the flange if you go too hard on it. This one's a little bit cracked on this end but it is still okay to use 'cause that gasket inside still getting enough. But if it got any worse than that, I'd say go ahead and replace the flange. Now that all of our bolts are nice and tight, we're good to go. You can easily pull the new valve in and out and prevent any water from getting past this point until you're ready. Well, I think that about does it for today's installation of the Valterra Bladex single valve with hub to hub fittings here on our 2011 Coachman Freelander Class C motorhome. My name's Kevin. Thanks for watching.

Replaces the valve for your RV's black-water tank. 3" Diameter passage allows wastewater to travel freely when valve is open. 3" Hubs slide onto two separate sewer pipes.I purchased 4 gate valves for a home-made pond filter system (the MK-2 from England). They have worked as advertised. I have had to re-apply some additional rubber caulking due to a tiny leak (not due to the gate valve). Otherwise, no complaint. If I've ever the need, I'll probably look to this gate valve again in future.
I bought this to change the location of my grey water discharge to a more convenient and accessible location. It was shipped quickly and excellent quality. I'm always very happy with the products and service at etrailer.com!!
Bought 2 because we were needing to have 2 500 gallon holding tanks that could be shut off one by one. Worked perfect. Great action on valve slider. A+++
I want to use this with a portable macerator pump. The idea is if the pump jammed and I was unable to free it up, I could close this valve and remove the pump with a minimum of spillage. My valves are remote so it could get messy; hope I never need to find out how it works.
Perfect fit and makes black tank dumping alot easier.
Just got it. Looks good.
Thank. you for all the details on the etrailer.com website! Really helped to ensure we were ordering the correct part for our 1973 Argosy!!!
After picking up our trailer from warranty work on the black water tank, we took a camping trip. On the way home, we stopped to dump the tanks. When I opened the black water cap, sewerage gushed out. The service tech left the valve open. Vowing never to repeat this mess, I bought the Valterra valve. It was easy to install and I have never had this incident happen EVER again. It extends that dump pipe. So, I have to be careful boon docking, but this never became a negative issue.
My existing black tank doesn't close properly th the cable mount unit. I've changed out the seal, used Calgon, etc to free up its use but to no avail. I'm adding this valve into the black line before it meets up with the gray and galley lines and allows me to manually open and close the valve securely.
Easy to add by cutting out an inch of original line and using abs cement to permanently secure.
I can now easily open both the galley and gray valves to equal out those tanks without the concerns of black tank contamination.
Shipped quickly and on time. Great communication with the etrailer team.
I fitted this valve because the cable controlled valve I had was getting so hard to pull I thought it might brake. So i fitted this Valterra valve in a straight run of 3'' abs pipe before the grey waste outlets. So now i can get easy access to and maintain my black tank control valve.
Waste valves arrived on schedule, undamaged, and as described. Valves open and close fully and seal correctly. Very happy with this purchase of 2 each 3" valves that will be used for vent control to a small hydro unit. As an owner of a trailer there is no doubt these are correct for use in your waste water system. I ordered hub to hub because my application doesn't require a hose attachment. Item#T40B
This valve was perfect for the reconfigure of my gray and black tank. With both valves being able to rotate for installation, I was able to get the position I needed. Thanks for the video showing it's features, the ease of ordering and the on time delivering!
I ordered a 3" waste valve and a 1.25" to 2" receiver for our bike rack. Both were shipped the
day I ordered them and arrived a few days later in perfect condition. They were just what I needed and were priced right. You can't beat etrailers service and price.
This and the waste valve for RV Black Water Tank were exactly what we needed to fix the problem on our camper. It arrived a day earlier than expected and hubby had it installed with zero problems. (You do NOT want to see pictures of what precipitated the need for this product!).
Everything as described, packed well in box. Will be used to connect kitchen grey water drain point to bathroom drain point. Needed as campground will only make one connection to drain trailer.
I received the Valterra RV Waste Value right on time, it took about 15 minutes to install and it worked perfect, very happy with the product, Thanks very much I will use your service again, 5 stars here

Still works great!
These valves are much more reliable than the cable actuated ones. You can be sure when it is fully closed, whereas the cable operated ones often do not close completely.
Used this to finish off the re-plumbing of my Fifth Wheel worked perfect. Cathy was a huge help in getting me all the parts I needed.
Great product, but more importantly, great company! etrailer ships quickly, keeps you informed every step of the way and follows up to ensure everything was to your liking. Customer service which is sorely missed and greatly appreciated!

The valve effectively shuts off or allows water flow between pond filter barrels and thats exactly what its supposed to do.
