Optronics ST70RB Oval Sealed Tail Light Diagram

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed mount light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a housing or a grommet (A70GB - sold separately). These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

  • Correcting Hyperflashing After Installation LED Taillights on 2004 Dodge Ram 3500
In order to stop your turn signals and brake lights from hyperflashing with your LED taillights, you will want to install LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors on the turn light and brake signal wires. Hyperflashing is a common issue when changing incandescent bulbs to LEDs. One of my fellow Experts put LEDs on his Dodge 2500 and ran into the same issue. He used the #DI34ZR Load-Resistors on his truck to solve the hyperflasing issue. I've attached an installation video of these load resistors...

  • Wesbar 108121 Replacement Trailer Light
Wesbar light 108121 is now a discontinued item but the Optronics # ST70RB is a direct replacement for it, and yes, this 6-1/2-inch oval 3-function light will work great and fit the same grommet.

  • Will the ST70RB and the STL72RB Both Fit on the Same Sized Light Housing?
To answer your question, both of the # ST70RB and the # STL72RB are 6-1/2" long x 2-1/4" wide x 2-3/8" deep lights; the main difference is that one is an LED light while the other is an incandescent. I was able to find some information on your TruckLite 60283 light and the best match to replace that light is the # ST70RB , since your trailer light system is wired for incandescent lights. If you wanted to switch both lights over to LED, you would use # STL72RB but you would likely need...

  • Correct LED Replacement for Optronics ST70RB Trailer Tail Light
The Optronics Fleet LED Trailer Tail Lights # TLL12RK are a slightly longer light so they aren't a replacement, but we do have the LED replacement you need for the Optronics # ST70RB. That part is the Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light # STL72RB. This light uses the same PVC Grommet # a70gb with the 3-wire Pigtail # A45PB or # A47PB (right angle pigtail) for installation. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.

  • Troubleshooting 12 Volt Accessory Trailer Wiring Circuit Not Functioning on a 2005 Dodge Ram
On a 2005 Dodge Ram the trailer wiring circuits are "fused" at the TIPM or the totally integrated power module. This can be frustrating to deal with in terms of trailer wiring. When you short out the TIPM you have to take it to a dealer so that they can reset it, and they will only do this so many times before you have to spend a ton of money to replace it. The best way around the TIPM is to bypass it all together with the trailer wiring. For that you can use the wiring harness part #...

  • Will Optronics Sealed Oval Trailer Stop Light Replace the Bargman Light on my 2002 Homesteader
It will fit Bargman part # 40-06-001. Since your light is a Bargman unit, you will just need to find the part number on it somewhere. The DOT 97 number has to do with Department of Transportation regulations and you will see similar numbers stamped on most lights. If you find 40-06-001 on the light, then this Optronics light will work as a direct replacement. If you find a different part number, please write back and I will help you find exactly which light will fit.

  • Replacement 6-1/2-Inch Oval Trailer Tail Lights
Thank you for the trailer light lens coding. This is not an actual light part number; this usually appears on the light base. Just the same I think what you're looking for is a product like # STL78RB. This is a sealed 6-1/2-inch oval tail light that uses high efficiency LEDs instead of standard bulbs. You can see all oval tail lights by clicking on the linked page. Click on the filters for lens color, bulb type, etc to narrow down the range of lights shown.

  • LED Replacement for WESBAR 203561 Light
Yes, the Optronics Trailer Light, # STL70RB, will replace the Wesbar 203561 to upgrade to LED lights. You will want to check the factory grommet when you remove the light, if the factory grommet is in good condition you can use it with the LED upgrade. If the factory grommet is worn or shows any signs of damage, now is the time to replace it. You would use the Optronics Rubber Grommet, # A70GB. Same thing on the 3-prong plug connector, check it also to make sure it is in good condition....

  • Replacement Taillights for CM Trailers 2-Horse Bumper Pull Trailer
Thank you for the DOT number from your horse trailer's brake light lens. This is not the light's actual part number; that is usually found on the light base. • Bargman 40-06-001 LED Replacement Trailer Tail Lights
Yes we do! The LED light that is comparable to the Bargman 40-06-001 and the Optronics # ST70RB that you referenced is the part # STL002RB with the staggered 3 pin connection. We also have the kit # TLL12RK which comes with the same size lights, grommets, and pigtails. The only differences are that they have a slightly different lens design and they use 12 diodes as opposed to 1. Installation videos have been linked for you to reference as well.

If you can find that part number on your Bargman light, then we can be sure that this light is the correct replacement. Even if your Bargman light has a different part number, # ST70RB will very likely work. The dimensions of the light are 6-1/2 inches long x 2-1/4 inches wide x 2-3/8 inches deep. • What is the Approximate Amperage Draw of the ST70RB Sealed Oval Trailer Light
The Sealed Oval Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, item # ST70RB, uses an 1157 automotive style bulb with two filaments. The bright filament is rated at 21 watts and the dim filament is rated at 5 to 6 watts. With the filament wattage, we can determine the amp draw of the bulb. Amperage equals watt rating divided by input voltage. Assuming a 12.8 volts input in all cases, with both filaments lit, the amperage draw would be approximately 2.1 amps. With only the dim filament lit, the amp...

  • Load Resistor Recommendation for Use with LED Tail Lights on a Flat Bed Truck with Hyperflash
You will wire a load resistor into the wiring of each light socket that has an LED bulb and flashes. So basically you will need to wire a load resistor into any bulb that blinks or has a dual intensity feature that lights up when the brakes, blinkers, or emergency flashers are operated. To do this correctly, you will need to wire the load resistor on the positive wire and then either ground it to the ground wire of the bulb, or to a good frame ground. You will need to do this for all of...
