Sensor adheres to the outside of your RV's holding tank to measure its fluid levels, and it sends those readings to a SeeLeveL monitor (sold separately) inside your RV. Can be cut or stacked to fit the height of your tank.

Notes:
Traditional tank monitors have a reputation for being unreliable. With probes mounted inside, they get gunked up and send false readings. When you have only a handful of them, they only measure in quarter increments at best. When you're keeping an eye on how much fresh water you have, the difference between 25% full and empty means a lot, and that inaccuracy can be a problem.
The SeeLeveL tank monitoring system uses technology that can sense fluid levels from the outside of the tank. The sensors' flexible circuit board sticks in place and measures along its entire height. This makes it accurate in single-digit increments.
This sensor has a resolution of 3/8". This means, for example, if the water level in your fresh-water tank drops by 3/8", the monitor will update its reading. If you're used to using probe sensors, just imagine having one of those installed every 3/8" on the side of your tank. That's how accurate it will be using this system.
Easy Install
If you're comfortable with basic wiring, installing the SeeLeveL monitoring system should be a straightforward DIY project.
A single 9" sensor can measure a tank as tall as 10-1/2". For a shorter tank, the sensor can be trimmed. If your tank is taller than 10-1/2", use a taller sensor or stack 2 sensors. This table will tell you which sensor setup is recommended based on tank height:
Sensor Options | |
---|---|
Tank Height | Best Sensor Option |
3-1/2" - 10-1/2" | Single 9" |
10-1/2" - 14" | Single 12" |
14" - 19-1/2" | 2 stacked 9" |
19-1/2" - 26" | 2 stacked 12"" |
Part numbers: Part numbers: 9" (SE78VR), 12" (SE88VR) |
To get the best resolution for the highest accuracy, choose the right setup. The segments along the left side of the sensor have 4 read points each. The more of those segments you have, the better the accuracy. Even with the lowest resolution possible, you will get tank readings accurate within single digit percentages.
You don't need to be a computer genius to install the sensors either. The sensors are programmed by using scissors to trim the tabs at the top. By altering the circuits, the sensor can tell the display exactly where it is. The included instruction manual will tell you how to trim the tabs during installation. Be very careful when trimming these tabs. The process is not reversible and incorrect installation isn't covered by warranty.
Once you've got your sensors selected and prepped by cutting the tabs, you're ready to install. You're going to want to make sure you thoroughly clean the sides of the tank first. Then, temporarily tape them down. Splice together all signal wires and all ground wires from the sensors, and run those two wires through your RV to the monitor inside. If you're replacing an old tank monitoring system, the existing wiring can be used. Now, run tests to make sure the system works properly. If that all looks good, the sensors are attached to the tanks with the 3M adhesive backing.
Reads up to 7 Tanks
This sensor is the new-and-improved design that is fully compatible with 709 Series tank monitors for measuring as many as 4 tanks. If you've purchased a SeeLeveL monitor for reading your fresh, gray, black, and galley tanks, this sensor will give you the same performance or better, depending on your setup.
This design was also made to read up to 7 tanks with the SeeLeveL Soul system. If your RV has a SeeLeveL Soul tank monitoring system installed from the factory, this is the sensor you need to get if you need a replacement. Older versions of these sensors may not work for you.
Bottom line: No matter what monitor you are using, this sensor will work.

Sensor adheres to the outside of your RV's holding tank to measure its fluid levels, and it sends those readings to a SeeLeveL monitor (sold separately) inside your RV. Can be cut or stacked to fit the height of your tank.I installed the seelevel system 2 years ago and was disappointed that the wire on one of the tank sensors becamdetached.I had the same system on a previous boat and had no issues.
After doing some you-tube research and chatting with the SeeLevel tech team, I felt safe that my unresponsive tank level reading was caused by a faulty tank sensor. This fixed the problem.
I am surprised, and delighted, that eTrailer has expanded their inventory to include RV parts. As always, great selection, helpful videos, fair pricing, and quick shipping all make for a swell experience. Thank you!
As installed, the sensors work quite well. The instructions were easy to follow. I do wish that the sensors were able to be cut for a more precise measure, e.g. rather than at one inch intervals, perhaps one-half an inch would provide increased granularity of the tanks contents.
Robert Thank you were perfect with helping me. When I'm ready I'll send you a small video of how it was all completed for the strips and the New Controller.
Thanks again,
Super fast delivery! Easy to install, instructions not included with the sensor but I could find them online quickly. I only mention this so you can grab them before you start.
Great product, only issue I had was no wiring diagram was sent with the panel or levels
eTrailer always has GREAT customer service and good prices on all the parts available!
The sensor for my holding tank fixed my problem!
Fast service!
I had the original instructions, cut to length and cut off grey tab for grey tank and installed in original place.
Thanks for great customer service!
thank you for your fast shipping! it was paramount! Appreciate.
