Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer.com, and today we are looking at our replacement cable lock for your Swagman bike racks here at etrailer. This is a great option, if maybe you've lost the cable that came with your locking system, or if you only have the locking anti-routable and you wanna add a cable, this is a good option for you. This fits all your locking Swagman bike rack kits, so if you have an 1 1/4" with a 2" adapter sleeve, that works for that. This also works with your solid 2" shank bike rack, like what we have here, the Swagman E-SPEC. The cable is 7' long. It also has this closed loop at the end allowing you to maximize your cable's length.
As for the cable itself, it's this nice pliable flexible cable that really helps us. You wrap it around your bikes. It's made of this 10 millimeter braided steel cable that has this vinyl coating which helps prevent extra dents or scratches, as you wrap it around your bike racks or your bikes. So my thoughts about this is, even though it is a replacement cable, I found it really works well with bike racks that only have a locking anti-routable 'cause you can add it to that and get the entire system. If you did lose your cable lock and you already have upgraded your system or the cable lock that came with your bike rack, this works well as a replacement since it works with both types of bike racks.
So to start install, what I like to do, is I first wrap it around one point and then I bring our locking end through the loop. So this kind of closes that piece off. And then I can wrap this cable around my bikes, as much as I want, to secure them. So say, let's go around the front frame, the front wheel and then the frame, once you've wrapped it around your bikes, you can then bring it through your anti-routable here at your pitch receiver and then secure it with a lock that comes with your anti-routable, like that, pop that into place, take out the keys and you can see how our cable and our lock are secured. Good cable. Wish it was slightly longer. I dont think it is long enough for 4 bikes. 2 is ok

I used the cable once. It rubbed the paint off in contact spots on both of my e bikes. I guess you could use hollow pool noodles to prevent this damage.
We needed this to replace the integrated lock on our bike rack hitch when we lost the key. It does the job just fine.
Excellent backup security in addition to the locking bike hooks that came with the Dispatch Bike Rack.
Great option for the Swagman bike rack. Cable is well made and will add extra security to our bikes.

Cable and lock are still working flawlessly after a year of adventures.
Cable works great and is long enough to lock both wheels and bike frame to trailer hitch. Should work very well for leaving the bike on the rack for quick trips into a store, restaurant, etc., though I would still recommend visual contact be kept if at all possible. Item was backordered and etrailer kept me up to date on status and shipping. Nice product and and very good customer service.
I lost the original cable and locking pin for my receiver hitch bike rack which was really a bummer since I really liked the quality and utility of the original cable and locking pin. I was very pleased to be able to find this replacement that is the same high quality and easy to use. etrailer was the only dealer that actually carried the original quality replacement. Very happy!

I bought this cord to maximize the security of my bikes on the Swagman XC 2 hitch rack. Etrailer has other items associated with securing bikes, racks and hitches. Will use them again. Fast, efficient service. Item was as described.
When coupled with the Swagman bike rack and receiver lock, it works perfectly. A bargain when all you need is the cable without the receiver lock.
The Swagman Bike Rack Cable Lock is a very secure item, necessary to secure your bike to the rack.
A replacement bike rack cable was needed to replace a damaged one. The cable received from etrailer was exactly what I needed. The order was filled fast and correctly.
My Swagman Chinook did not include this safety cable so I ordered from etrailer. Came in faster than expected. Solid cable and does the job I need it for.
I can now lock my bike to my trailer hi tch.
It works prefect. Good quality. It should work for many years to come. It is long enought to secure 2 bikes to my bike rack.
Cable is well made and does it’s job. Nothing is theft proof but using this will keep honest people honest and make the criminals have to come prepared. Great service and fast shipping from etrailer as always.

The cable is well built but very, difficult to put on. With bikes on the rack, getting to the hitch pin where it goes involves getting on the ground.
Worked as expected. Bought it to use with the Kuat rack that I have. In reality, it should work with any rack. Reason I bought this was because of the insert on one end that I can slide over the hitch pin and lock it.
Help secure our bikes at all times. You may have to step away from your vehicle for a moment or extended time.
