Designed for use with motor-home-mounted tow bars, the direct-connect brackets are virtually invisible, easy to mount and remove, and they eliminate the need for a quick-disconnect crossbar on your tow bar. Installs on your vehicle's frame.

Note: Roadmaster direct-connect base plates will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch, such as the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2. These base plates will not work with tow bars that require a hitch ball.
The drawbars, or front arms, on this base plate kit are supremely easy to mount and remove. Just insert them into the brackets and twist to lock them in place. To remove each arm, simply tug the built-in pull pin to disengage the lock, twist the arm back and pull it out of the bracket. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs as well.

Installs on your vehicle's frame.This is the fifth Roadmaster base plate that I have purchased. I will not use another brand as I feel it is the best for the money and Quality, installs easy as well. We just got them today and have not installed yet. so no photos sorry.
I chose the Roadmaster EZ5 base plate for my 2018 Colorado because its connection height would work better with my motorhome's hitch height. Installation was fairly straightforward but I found the supplied instructions lacking in a few areas. Although it took me far longer than the advertised 3 hours ... I believe the installation went well and should work well. This is my 5th baseplate install and this one went smoothly and the quality of the equipment seems fine.
I have used Roadmaster base plates and tow bars for 18 years and they are great. Just received new base plate today for my new GMC Canyon, came a day early and looks great. Thanks etrailer for great price and super fast shipping. You folks are the greatest. Photos after I install it. RAY
I bought the base plate for a 2019 Ford Transit Van, since they do not make one for the 2020 model year. I installed it on my 2020 Ford Transit 350 with few issues related to fitment. I have towed the van all over the southeast U.S. with no problems at all.

Super solid and love the quick connect pin designs. Has the integrated tow chain attachment point.
Very easily installed and simple to use. Has worked well. Makes the truck very easy to connect to the RV and you really don’t notice that you’re towing anything.
It is more than I expected. Wonderful, easy and fast to hook up and unhook. Would recommend to anyone interested in flat towing a vehicle.
My wife and I are full timers and use it on a regular basis.
Son in law and I put it all in ourselves. Took about 5 hours .
Very well built, was easy to install grate product
Installation was straight forward following the instructions, if I recall no drilling was required, it took a couple of short days in my garage, for some steps a second person would have helped. When not towing the hook ups easily remove for a clean look. My only complaint is that there is a bit too much slack in the system which allows the toad to drift left and right more than I like resulting in some sway. Some of it is in the base plate system, some is in the tow bar
Terrific product! Easy installation and the locking and removal mechanism make it easy to use. Far better than other base plated I've used in the past.

Terrific product! Easy to install after watching the detailed video instruction provided by etrailer. Easy to connect to my RV. I have recommended this product to others.
Always reliable sand prompt service. I have had 3 sets for different vehicles with only 1 breakage over the many miles traveled. Would have been a 5 but I had to go find pins to attach hitch to Instructions were great but videos at site better.
Great description and product arrived as promised
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, I have only towed our vehicle once but, the Roadmaster Base Plates fit and worked as expected.
You guy always do a good job for me. I’m sure the parts will be fine as they have been on the past two vehicles I towed. I haven’t put the parts on yet or I would sent pictures. When the truck is air ready to go I’ll send you pictures. Thanks again.

Base plates are of high quality heavy steel. Installation of the base plates was very precise and the step by step instructions were easy to follow. Base plates work perfectly and are easy to use.
Simple, sturdy and easy to install and use. Really did not want the full width “bar” style device. The 2 piece, individual mounting lugs appealed to me. Glad it worked so well on my 2020 GMC Canyon. Wife and I did all our own installation.
Solid product with straight forward, easy to follow instructions and customer service made this a simple diy project. Roadmaster and etrailer make a great team.
I would like to say the etrailer was fantastic I got the order exactly when they told me the quality of the brackets were excellent as soon as I get them put on I will post a picture it's nice to do business with people that do what they say they're going to do thank you trailer
Item fit perfectly. Installed myself in about a day. After a few scratched up hands removing the front bumper cover the base plates were easy to install on my 2018 Chevy Colorado. removed the tow hooks and had to trim a little around the hole to reinstall front.
All the products I ordered from etrailer,fit and worked excellent for me to be able to flat tow my 2015 Chevrolet Colorado behind our motorhome. I live in Canada and fast delivery on the products I ordered. I will order from etrailer again
Installing was a bit of challenge since a lot of parts had to be removed and replaced.
However, once installed they look great and are very easy to insert/remove the arms
which can be easily stored in under the back seat.
It has worked fine since installed. My vehicle is a 2019 Chevy Colorado.
Everything arrived earlier than expected and all was packaged well, no issues or broken boxes, etc.
etrailer has a tremendous selection of items and their installation video are absolutely 1st class.
Highly recommend.
Fit perfectly. Had to take the front end off the truck, but face plates fit perfectly.
The hidden brackets really surprise me what they look like after I got them on my canyon I am very well pleased with this product
5,000 miles and not an issue.
