Double Lip Grease Seals (pair) - RG06-010

Average Customer Rating:  4.8 out of 5 stars   (138 Customer Reviews)

Top quality parts located by hard to beat customer service agent. I doubt that you will find better customer service anywhere. I highly recommend etrailer

One year of frequent use and no issues. Well definitely continue to purchase items from

Perfectly! I have had absolutely no problems and I am still very happy with the product

I wasn’t sure what rating to give these seals since I was unable to use them because they were the wrong size. The seals that were sent seemed to be of good quality.

I needed 30x52x10 TC wheel bearing seals for my Ironton 40”x48” Utility Trailer. I took a couple of pictures to show that the seals I received were thinner overall and where they ride on the spindle it seemed they were a bit larger in circumference. Fortunately I had some back up seals.

I am sending this review over to our customer service team. Please see the link below for reference on how to determine which grease seals you are needing for your application.

you guys are the best. The seals fit my trailer axel perfectly.

None of the Automotive Parts distributors/retail outlets could find the actual wheel seals I needed. A couple of minutes on, is all it took to find the correct seals. Very competitive price, reasonable shipping costs, and reasonably quick delivery. Would definitely do business with again and recommend to friends.

Seals are holding up great, will definitely buy from in the future

These are good quality hub seals that are appropriate for a boat trailer (double lip seal).
Nothing too sexy about these, but I expect they will protect my wheel bearing for years to come.

A year later and these seals are holding up great. Buy these If you need some hub seals - especially for a boat trailer.

Great quality seals, much sturdier than the ones that came with some Fulton bearing kits I had. I shop for all my trailer tires as well.

Norm C.

Yesterday I checked both wheels for water intrusion. Not a , and the seals are like new after a year of use.

These arrived quickly and were inexpensive enough. My only concern for using them is the rubber molding is rather sloppy on the inside of the seal. What I mean is instead of the rubber being nice and "clean" around the inside edge of the seal, some of the rubber is molded over the inside, where it will meet the bearing. I did not want to cut the excess away for fear that it would compromise the seal. I was already committed to tearing and putting things back together so I used them. I hope the slop does not effect the bearing :(

I like these so much I ordered a new set for this year!

Darn good seals! Note when ordering: These come in paris! I recently bought a spare hub for my boat trailer. Got tired of spending long hot precious minutes on the roadside to replace a seal and/or bearings. I tow upwards of 500 miles on any given month to fish area lakes, often to neighboring states. I've always carried spare parts, but recently decided a spare hub was in order. Why spend an hour replacing bearings and seals when you can change a hub almost as fast as changing a tire? The hub I needed did not come with the correct seal for my axle. I knew this from thoroughly reading the product information on the hub. Also needed a few spares. My experience with ETrailer has been Great! Orders processed quickly. Shipping times exceeded my expectations. The email communication from ETrailer is Outstanding! It's comforting to know where your order is and what's going on. I will continue to use ETrailer for future needs. THANKS!

I am replacing single lip seals with these double lip ones because Bearing Buddies were installed before I owned this trailer. Grease used to splatter all over the inside tire rims. I'm sure these seals will improve this condition. The seals installed easily with a hammer and wood block. Highly recommended!

All of the products I have purchased at Etrailer have been as advertised and exactly what I needed.

Excellent product fits well, durable

I installed my new grease seals over the weekend and the quality was great. Messy work, but that's part of the fun. The double lip seals, with springs, are nice and should help keep dirt and water out of my hubs.

This was my first time ordering from and the customer experience was outstanding. I received an email as soon as the product shipped with tracking information. The tracking showed a live interactive map showing the product in transit, nice touch!

I had very little information about my trailer but etrailer made it easy to lookup the correct wheel bearing seals and their staff knows this business.

The seals are great for many but, the problem I faced with my project was the int diameter was just right. The outside was just a tad to small for my hub. I found seals that worked from my local shop that had a rubber outter ring and the fit was great! Etrailer is a good source for trailer parts and I will be back for other parts because their shipping is fast!

Excellent double-lip seals (not the single lip some others carry) at a very good price. Truthfully, is not making a lot of money off me. I've ordered several times, but none of them have been "big ticket" (sorry!). It doesn't matter to them, though. I always great service. Thanks,!

I ordered a bearing kit for my Calkins boat trailer, and found everything
I needed on The wealth of information, with specific
part numbers and measurements, as well as great prices made my decision for me. And I received my package in two days! is where I will be shopping for all my trailer needs!

My boat trailers hubs seals are apparently odd balls. I say this because 3 local AP major chain stores were unable to match them. As always etrailer had what we needed.

Customer Service very good but the product I didn't use yet

Seals arrived and I installed them on my boat trailer while repacking wheel bearings. Great quality as always from Thanks!

Ordered these grease seals for a jet ski trailer. The order was processed and shipped very quickly. Installed the seals and they are working great!

Purchased to repair/replace Bolen's HT-20 tractor front wheel bearings.
Easily installed by driving into hub with scrap wood and hammer.
Affordable, relatively quick repair completed in between snow storms.
Thank you again eTrailer!

Seal worked great. I'm only giving this a 3 star review however, because the seal does not have any part number stamped on the rim. This makes finding the replacement seal very difficult next time I repack the hub. There is a very small number on the rubber gasket, but will be useless when trying to locate a replacement.

I rated this product at 4 stars . Everything has been fine since I installed them ,but I have only used the trailer 4 or 5 times since . But as I said up till now it looks like a very good product.

Worked perfectly on my straight spindle trailer axle with 1 and 1/16" wheel bearings

Products received as advertised. Great price. I first ordered the seals and forgot to add the Tang washers. Called customer service and Hally C was very helpful, cancelling the original order and making a new order with the Tang washers so that I didn't have to pay for shipping 2X.

  • Replacement Grease Seal for Trailer Hub that is OD = 1.98 ID = 1.25
Thanks for the dimensions of your seals. Based on that the correct replacement would be the part # RG06-010 for a pair or part # 34823 for a single seal. We have replacement cotter pins like the part # 165649 which is steel but we do not have any stainless steel options.

  • Replacement for P1049 Grease Seal on Boat Trailer Hub
The 1.250, 1.979, and 0.250 on your seal are the dimensions. Based on my research, this seal is interchangeable with the Double Lip Grease Seal - ID 1.249" / OD 1.983" - Qty 1 # 34823. This would be the replacement seal I recommend. We also have a pair of seals, # RG06-010.

  • How to Determine Correct Replacement Grease Seal
If you have the bearing numbers and the axle capacity, we may be able to find the right seal for your trailer. If not, you will need to take an accurate measurement of the outside diameter of your existing seal, or the inside diameter of the mounting surface for the seal in the hub. You will also need to get an accurate measurement of the spindle at the seal surface. I have attached a photo that shows the areas you will need to measure. You will need a precision instrument like a dial...

For your utility trailer, I recommend the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized # AKIHUB-545-2-G-1K since you use it for boat launching. This assembly will include all of your bearings, races, and grease seal. Your current bearing buddy caps will work with these hubs. If you need a new set, I recommend the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 1980A-SS w/ Auto Check - Stainless Steel (Pair) # BB1980A-SS. If you want a heavier duty grease seal you...

  • Replacement Grease Seal for Use with Bearing Buddies
I believe you will want the Double Lip Grease Seals (pair) # RG06-010 these have the closest diameter to what you gave me. They have a 1.249 inch inner diameter and a 1.983 outer diameter to fit common BT8 spindles. They will be compatible with Bearing Buddies like you mentioned. If you want the bearing kit for the BT8 spindles, I recommend # BK1-100. The bearings are just # L44643.

To replace the grease seals you will need part # 34823 which measure ID 1.249" OD 1.983". You can also use part # RG06-010 for a pair. I do not recommend going with a different size because it is important to stick with the correct size. You will need to stick with the bearings, races and seal that fit your specific spindle. Not all bearings and races will fit the spindle on your trailer. If you pull the hub and check the bearing numbers stamped on the side of the bearings you can get the...

Shoreland'r parts are not something that we carry but their numbers are often associated with common parts. There is a GS-1250DL which matches the # RG06-010 but I believe that is going to be different than the XDL. You could compare this to your current grease seal just to be sure. The thickness of the seal on these hubs is not as important as long as you can tap it into the hub so it is flush with the backside of the hub bore.
