Jeff Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Universal Mounting Panel for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite or the Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Control Knob. Now, this universal surround mount will let you install the Tow-Pro Elite or the Tow-Pro Liberty remote head when there's no switch blank available. It is the universal mounting panel, so it creates a nice factory look for the control knob that comes with the Elite or the Liberty brake controllers, both of those we do sell separately on our website. The Tow-Pro Elite part number is RED44FR, and the Tow-Pro Liberty is part number RED24FR. Now, this part here will include the light gray housing, the remote head bezel, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this goes together.
But basically, what you'll do is take the control knob, and then remove the head body from the control knob, and then remove it from the original black housing, that it comes in, and then you insert it into this light gray housing, and then when you put it back together, you use this new remote head bezel. Now, it is designed to fit the rounded edges. This will provide a nice clean backdrop for the control knob that installs in your dash or on your console. Great little unit, easiest install ever. 2021 Honda Pilot with factory tow package. You have to purchase a separate wiring harness to use this controller. Used the TPSI-001 switch insert for a factory look. Picture shows where I used a dremel tool to widen the back of the insert hole just a little for the switch insert to fit in the factory location.
Thank you for having the part to complete the installation of my trailer brake controller and making look like it was a factory option in the 2005 Chevy C4500 4x4.

HORRIBLE customer service - tried to return this $[XX] part and they said it would cost me $[XX] to ship it back. Good grief - you better get the right part the first time because this crap company essentially has no return policy. Took two weeks to get it - one week to process and another to ship through USPS from MO to AZ. That was acceptable in the 1990s, but not in 2022. I'll never use this company again and advise you to do the same. There are too many online retailers out there to put up with this crap.
Great for a clean install but the material thickness of your pannel need to be thin to make it work. I had to CNC my original pannels to remove material.
