Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this PullRite OEX Super Fifth-Wheel Hitch. Now this has been designed to fit your 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, both 2500 and 3500s with the OEM prep package. And on custom fit parts such as this hitch, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm that this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, PullRite's OEX line of hitches are uniquely designed to give you more options.

If you prefer a different coupling method down the road, this is going to give you the ability to swap out this head without the cost of buying a whole new hitch. For instance, you could pick up a PullRite SuperLight head, as you can see there on your screen, for an upgraded towing experience, all without investing in a new hitch. And this head is going to be easily removable by removing the pin and clip that you can't see here underneath on the side here, and then you just swap out these plates, and you could put in that other coupler head if you want. So this really is nice in that way. This is going to fit into your Silverados or Sierra's truck bed so you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer, working with the factory-installed fifth-wheel towing prep package from Chevy and GM.

This hitch is made here in the U.S.A. of high-quality American steel. It is SAE J2638 tested to a gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds and a vertical load limit of 6,250 pounds. But this is also one of the lightest 25K hitches on the market today. These OEX hitches are relatively lightweight, with 2/3 of the amount of lifting weight compared to similar brands.

Let me give you a brief demonstration of how this works, and you probably know very well how this works, but I just wanted to show you how easy this one is going to work and how it holds on to this king pin. So I have an example of a king pin here. And this does feature a self-locking hitch plate that's going to make for a super easy hookup. So you can see here (metal clacks) that jaw is going to close the handle, and this is going to automatically lock around this king pin. And so you saw the handle retract there automatically.

The precisely laser cut wrap around jaw components are going to cradle the trailer's king pin 140 degrees for a secure, tight fit, which is going to create less rattle and give you more security than, for instance, slide bar jaws. The dual articulating head is going to move in four directions for easier hookup, especially on uneven ground, giving you a smoother ride. And then this extended handle here is going to allow you to keep out of the bed of your truck when you need to uncouple. (metal clacking) And so you can see just how easy that is, slides my king pin right out. So very easy operation. Now, this uniquely designed interchangeable coupler assembly is going to give you enough rear word offset to be the second best solution for short bed trucks. Of course, the best solution would be a slider hitch, but this is going to give you a full four inches additional cap clearance when you rotate these hitch head plates. It's probably gonna be difficult for you to see here, but you would just remove this hitch head and then rotate the plates, and then that's going to push this head farther out. So that's going to give you that additional four inches of clearance. And so not only that is that a nice feature that this includes, but this does have a vertical height adjustment as well. And this is going to be adjustable from 16 1/4 inches to 18 3/4 inches to allow you to make your fifth wheel as level as possible when you're towing your vehicle. Now, another really nice thing about this is this does not require any adapters, rails, or tools to install or remove in and out of the bed of your truck. It's going to install and remove quickly and easily. No binding, unlike other OE puck systems. This is going to drop into the four receiver pucks in the bed of your truck that are built into your factory under bed rails, and it's gonna secure in place with these removable top-mounted mounting posts. What's nice about these posts is when you get this into the bed of your truck, you can actually have these posts removed, and then you can drag this along the bed of your truck to get them right over your pucks. And because these are removed, you're not gonna have to worry about these scratching up the bed of your truck. And then once you get the holes over the pucks in the bed of your truck, you can just drop these mounting posts into place and then rotate it close, just like that, and then that will secure this into your puck system. Lemme give you a close view here, and you can see what's going on here. So when you have this rotated out like this, that's going to allow you to drop right into that puck system. And then when you rotate it in, that's going to then lock it into place, securing it into your puck system. And then once you're in place, giving you another overhead view, you'll just replace the included bale pins, (metal clacking) and then that's going to secure it in place. So it's gonna be really easy to get this into place into the bed of your truck. It's gonna be very easy to remove. When you're ready to remove this, you're gonna be able to have a nice open bed again to allow you that full bed for hauling. So this isn't going to take up any permanent space in the bed of your truck. When you wanna remove it, you can remove it, and it's gonna be as simple as that. So if you are looking for a lighter weight 25K fifth-wheel hitch that's going to drop into your Silverados or Sierra's factory puck system, and then even give you additional coupling options sometime down the road, this is really going to be a great option for you to consider.
