Video Transcript for Dropping your vehicle off at etrailer

So you're on schedule. You're gonna bring your vehicle in to etrailer. We just wanna show you how that's gonna work. Etrailer is located on Highway A, right across from the GM plant. The exact address is gonna be 1-5-0-7 East Highway A in Wentzville, Missouri. When you pull into the parking lot, we're gonna have parking spots for you right up front, right outside the Vehicle Consultation Center.

Please drop-off your vehicle before 9:00 AM. That way when we get here and we're ready to go in the morning, we can get started. When you can get here and you park your car, come over here in the drop zone. We have some forms for you to fill out to get started. The other option is, if it's after 8:00 AM, you can walk into the Vehicle Consultation Center and talk to the service representative about your vehicle while you drop-off your keys.

Do you have any questions or notes, you can just tell them. Hi, welcome to etrailer. A.J. Next up, the vehicle's gonna be pulled into one of our bays, where your parts will be installed by one of our techs. We've done hundreds of hitch installs and even installs done on the same year, make and model of your vehicle. We can apply our knowledge for the cleanest install.

A video team will shoot the install. After it is edited, it will go live on our website, where it will be very useful to customers who are looking to install the hitch by themselves at home. We also take some nice glamorous pictures that will go on the website as well. Now, if you're dropping off a bigger motorhome, or a longer vehicle, we'd like you to park it over here by the tree line on the side of the parking lot. If you are dropping off for a flat tow, you'll leave your motorhome over here by the treeline and your vehicle over there by customer parking.

Now we are gonna use it for three days. That's just how long the installation takes. Part of the trade-off for free install is if we get done before five, we will also take the opportunity to install some bike racks, cargo carriers, and any other accessories that are popular for your vehicle. And then at five o'clock, we'll park it out front, ready for you to pick-up. Now once we're done with the keys, we're gonna put them in the key locker. At 4:00 PM, you're gonna get an email with the code. It's gonna be three digits, usually the last three numbers in your phone number. So you can enter that in and open up the door to get your keys. Really is that easy. I hope I was shedding some light on our process here. We do our best to get you the right parts and get it installed quickly and easily, so you don't have to worry about anything. You just drop off your car, come pick it up, and then go about on your adventures. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. I hope this helped..

4-Way Lug Wrench - 20" Long - SAE and Metric - PTW1

Average Customer Rating:  4.7 out of 5 stars   (20 Customer Reviews)

This is a lightweight, compact, Chinese, lug wrench. For the price, it's a good deal if you can get the free shipping. My old Craftsman lug wrenches put these new ones to shame, but that's the new world we live in.

I tried other four ways and lug wrenches for my trailer if they did not work just arrived right on time and work perfectly I highly recommend it for your trailer

  • Can an Ultra-Fab Leveling Jack be Used to Change a Tire
We have better options because leveling jacks like the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979006 shouldn't be used to raise a vehicle. They're only for stabilizing despite their weight capacity. Instead you want something like the Powerbuilt bottle jack, part # ALL640405. It has plenty of capacity at 4,000 pounds and is for raising a vehicle like your X5 to change a tire. It's also pretty compact and not very expensive. Another option that's a bit of a step up is an electric scissor jack like part # PTW1609....

  • Lug Nut Wrench Recommendation for Lug Nuts that fit 9/16 Studs
Your lug nuts that you have on your 8,000 lb axles are designed to fit a 9/16 stud. That is not the size of socket you would need. Since lugs of the same thread size can have various socket requirements it would be hard for me to say specifically what size socket or wrench you would need. I can recommend the # PTW1 or the # LW405 since they come with various sizes that can be used on nearly all available size lugs.

  • Lug Nut Wrench Recommendation for Trailer Wheels that have Recessed Holes
Your best option would be to find a lug wrench that has a narrower head so that it can fit into the recessed bolt holes of the # AM31208. Something like the part # PTW1 would work great as it would have no problem fitting into the wheel holes of the rim. In order to pick out the correct hub assembly for a trailer you are going to need know a few key pieces of information. The first thing you will need to know is the bolt pattern of your hubs. This is so you get a hub that is compatible...

  • Will Standard Wheel Lug Wrench Fit Lionshead Trailer Tire and Wheel # LH36FR
You need to use a thinner walled socket if you are running into clearance issues fitting the socket all the way into the cutout for the wheel lugs. I've run into this problem before on a car and it was because I was using a socket with a really thick wall. Going with a more standard size socket/4-way like the # PTW1 would prevent this issue. The wheel part # LH36FR also does not have a thin and deep cut out for the lugs either. For a standard 1/2" -20 lug nut we have the part # LHLR103...

  • Trouble Removing Lug Nuts on the Kenda Karrier S-Trail w/ 12" Aluminum Wheel # AM31215
Thank you for the picture! The problem you are running into has more to do with the lug nuts you are using than the tire wrenches like part # PTW1 that you referenced. Since the Kenda Karrier S-Trail # AM31215 is a little more recessed where the lug nuts sit you need to swap out your shorter lug nuts, like part # CE11051, and replace them with taller lug nuts like part # 12CLN. Changing out the lug nuts to taller ones will allow you to easily fit a lug wrench over the lug nuts so you can...

  • Lug Nut Replacement Recommendation for the etrailer.com Hub part # AKHD-545-35-K
The etrailer.com Hub part # AKHD-545-35-K that you referenced would use part # CE11051 as a replacement lug nut. This would take a 13/16 socket like what the # PTW1 has.

  • Lug Nut Recommendation for a 2000 Ford Mustang
The Americana Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # AM26NR should work well on your 2000 Ford Mustang since it has the same lug size as this. Trailer lug nuts are just as strong as vehicle lug nuts, you could almost argue that if anything the trailer lugs would have to be stronger considering how much weight trailers can see. If you need a 4-way to make wheel installation easier check out the Cross Lug Wrench # PTW1.

  • Recommended Lug Wrench for Mag Wheels on 2018 Rockwood 5th Wheel Trailer
For a lug wrench that has sockets to fit narrow areas, I recommend the Telescoping Lug Wrench w/ Reversible Sockets - 13/16", 7/8", 17-mm to 19-mm Lug Nuts # LW405. This will give you a telescoping arm for easier tightening and loosening of lugs and comes with sockets that are reversible to make storage easy while providing the thin wall for access and compatibility with some of the aluminum wheels that provide less space around the lugs.

  • Do Most 4-Way Lug Nut Wrenches Fit Lug Nuts for 15 Inch Wheels
There's no guarantee but 15 inch wheels almost always have 1/2 inch wheel studs. Furthermore, 1/2 inch wheel studs almost always have lug nuts that are 13/16 or 3/4 inches with 7/8 being less common but still possible. And yes, most standard 4-way lug wrenches have all three of those sizes. Part # PTW1 for example has those three plus an 11/16 inch. The only true way to determine the size of your lugs nuts is to measure them. Just use a socket set and find which size socket fits the best.
