product from Pollak is always great but they packed it with steel couplers and destroyed it

It is a direct OEM replacement, easy installation. What I liked most was a real person answered my call and took my order, Katherine was very polite and knowledgeable. Thanks again. CJ

No issues at all.

2004 Nissan Titan

The 3 star rating is because this is not a direct replacement for a Nissan Armada. I bought this to replace the original socket on a 2004 Nissan armada. The hitch on the car says it is a Nissan hitch. I did not notice that the original socket mounted as a twist lock type and the bracket had no mounting screws when I ordered this socket. In defense of the manufacture and distributor of this socket the description did not say it was a direct replacement for an armada the assumption would be that the hitch would be the same as a titan. This was no big deal for me since I had a drill and bits to drill mounting holes and used # 8 sheet metal screws. Just have to be careful to drill the holes the right size so they self thread properly. I have been looking to see if there is a direct replacement for the original socket but can't seem to find one not even on Nissan's parts web site so I guess you just have to do what I did. I didn't think to take a video of the installation but I have included a picture of the finished install.

Worked out awesome. I bought this for a buddy for his used truck. The previous owners for what ever reason took it. Plugged it in and worked flawlessly.

@GeorgeM Great to hear. Thank you for the update!

Very easy to install with good idetification of wiring code.

This is it!! If you have a Porsche Cayenne with a tow package (mine's a 2017) and you're wondering why the wiring "connector" that came from the factory is just a plate with nothing to plug in to... This is the thing you need! It fits the holes in the mounting bracket perfectly and plugs right into the harness coming out of the car (after you carefully release the little clip holding the clip connecting the plate to the harness (no, that's not a typo). I also purchased a matching 7 to 4-pin adapter, so I can easily connect to either. And etrailer had it all... and made it easy. Quick shipping, just as promised. Love e-Trailer! :)

The transaction went great. Delivered on the time I was told good product

by:

It fit perfect and was literally plug and play.

by:

I had to replace the socket in my truck after I forgot to disconnect the plug when setting up my camper 1 year ago. Since then, I've connected the camper 35 times and pulled it over 6,000 miles. I have had no issues at all with the new socket.

by:
2016 Porsche Cayenne

It fit right up to my 2016 Porsche Cayenne diesel. A very simple installation.

by:
2008 Porsche Cayenne

This is the original plug and play. For VW SUV's this does the trick. I recommend using some anti-seize on the bolts that secure this into the mount. I have this on both an Audi and a Porsche both work great. The picture shows what the car some with so you simply plug this unit into the factory socket and secure with 4 machine screws.

Perfect OEM quality!!!

2000 Toyota Tundra

Hi, I am a ASE Certified Automotive technician for 30-plus years. I have to say these parts are Factory quality, the option for Direct Fit everything plugs right into the wiring harnesses fits as if they came as original equipment with the vehicle and the same quality. When ordering parts if you call and speak to an operator that extremely helpful and actually know what's going on. And their tech support this extremely knowledgeable.

by:

Nice fit to my factory harness. This was a replacement for the factory hitch mount. I decided to drill a hole and mount in the bumper like I’ve seen on other vehicles. This makes for a convenient and protected location.

by:

Very quick service, all is well

Still working after a year. Performs as expected. Easy to install.

1995 Ford F-250 Super Duty

After redoing my trailer wiring harness to put a socket in the bed of my 1995 F250, I used this to replace the old socket in my bumper. Saved me having to do more splicing and hard wiring in the old socket.

After a year of use, this is still working great. I don’t use it a lot as most of my towing is of the 5th wheel using the in-bed connector.

  • Recommended In-Bed 7-Way for a 2020 Ford F-350
I would be happy to help you. I recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C57008 for your 2020 Ford F-350. This is designed for aluminum beds like your model truck has. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.

The Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket # PK11893 plugs into a standard USCAR # 20147 pigtail. As I can not see if this is the same connector you have on your 2022 VW ID.4 I cannot verify it is the correct connector. If you can verify this is exactly what you have or send me in some images then I can verify it is what you need. • One of Four Trailer Brakes Wont Release when Plugged Into a 2005 Chevy Silverado
It sounds like there is a short somewhere that is causing constant power draw. There are a few common places to start looking. Corrosion in or on the vehicle and trailer side connectors could potentially cause this issue but normally you would see more than one brake stuck. Still it is worth cleaning away any corrosion. On the trailer side make sure all the wiring to and from the brake magnets is in good shape with no pinched or damaged wires. Fix any damaged wires as needed. If the trailer...

I do have an option for you but that's a factory trailer connector mounting bracket which is not something we'd have. I was unable to find much about the wires you located. That being said, you will need to test your plugs with something like # PTW2993. This will confirm which port is which function. As we do not have anything that will plug directly into your plugs, the # PK11893-11933 will need to be hardwired to get everything up an running. Due to this, it would be better to go with # PK11893 and # PK11998. This is specifically a hardwire kit so you wouldn't need to cut off the rectangular plug.
