Hi there, I'm Michael with each etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this weld-on steel hinge. This hinge is gonna provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. It can also work great for trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes, or machinery doors, as well as many other applications. Basically your only limiting factor is the fact that it is a weld-on installation. So you are gonna have to attach it to a metal surface.

But because that weld-on design is going to ensure a nice strong hold, it's gonna be great for your heavy duty applications and permanent installation. So we'll do a really good job for you. Of course, a very important component, making sure that this is gonna work for your desired application is the size. So you can see if we don't include that grease zerk there, our total length is right about 10 1/4 of an inch. If we do include the grease zerk, it's right at what I would consider 10 5/8, just shy of 10 3/4 of an inch long.

And then our width, we're gonna have a couple of different ways of measuring. You can see this does have kind of an angled portion here that's gonna give us those flat sides to weld in place. So if we measure with that angled portion, our width is gonna be right at 1 1/2 inches. If we rotate that to not include that angled portion, we're just over an inch, about 1 1/8 of an inch in diameter. This does have a nice steel construction.

So it is gonna be very durable. You can see we've got this 19 millimeter or 3/4 of an inch diameter pin here. We also have our brass bushing. It's gonna be very corrosion resistant to be sure that our hinge will function properly. But of course, then we also have our grease zerk on the end.

That's gonna make it very easy to pump some grease in there to ensure that our hinge is well lubricated and it's going to be pivoting without any resistance or getting bound up or anything like that. So really nice option here if you are looking for a pretty large weld-on steel hinge, I've just over 10 inches, about 10 1/4 inch with that grease zerk there. So I'll make sure that that's gonna work for your application, but if it does fit the width and the length and everything, this is gonna be a really nice option for you.
