Today we're taking a look at a Replacement 12-Volt Variable Speed Fan Motor. This replaces the fan motor on your Maxxair MAXFAN RV roof vent. Again, it is a 12 volt DC variable speed motor. This works with a lot of different part numbers. To view all of those, you can check out this product's product page at etralier.com, and all the roof vent part numbers are listed for easy reference. I also have a print out, which I'll show you in a moment, for the video.

If you want to, you can pause the video and take a longer look at that sheet I'm gonna show you. But, it's a really nice construction. We have corrosion resistant finishing. It's gonna keep it safe from the elements. It's gonna keep it safe from rust and corrosion. We have a little sticker right here that shows us that our white wire is this side.

Black's on that side, and our wires are sealed right here as they feed into the motor housing. The wires run to this plug, so that way you don't have to hard wire anything. You can just simply plug it into the fans that this is- or excuse me, the roof vents that this motor's designed to work with. So, I'm gonna put that list up right here. You can see that.

We'll take a moment. These are all of the part numbers for the roof vents that this motor acts as a replacement motor for. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Replacement 12-Volt Variable Speed Fan Motor.

One year later and still working great. I have the fan set on auto, so it comes on when it warms up in the trailer everyday and turns off when it cools down.

Perfect fit for my Maxxfan 7500 that was slowly dying

by:

A direct drop in replacement for my Max fan motor. I had it shipped to UPS store along my route, installed it, back to cool sleeping temperatures again at night!

by:

Worked great to replace the motor on the maxxair deluxe fan.

by:

Perfect replacement for the motor in my 7500 MaxxAir fan. Easy installation, could have done it in a rainstorm and stayed dry. Very pleased to have my fan working again

by:

I was very happy, we had paid over $300 for the exaust fan and it was a major ordeal replacing it, and we just redid our rubber roof and didnt want to tear it up. We were glad to be able to find a motor compatible with our 10 speed bathroom fan

by:

Great price including free delivery. Fast delivery. I've ordered from etrailer before and have always been satisfied with their products and pricing.

by:

We should have the choice of USPS or UPS delivery companies.
I received the order 2 days before expected day.
Thank you very much.

by:

by:

Customer service was excellent. I received my order quickly and the motor was clean and works perfectly.

by:

My slide-in camper came with a roof fan that had issues from the get go. The replacement I ordered has been in my camper for two years now and runs like a champ.

by:

Fan was the exact OEM part. An easy fi x.

by:

Item arrived a day early! Took about 30 minutes total to remove the old and put in the new. Fan is back up and running!

by:

Expert diagnosis of my problem. Fast s hipping.

by:

Hadjust the part I needed at a good price. Quick turnaround and excellent communication made it an easy sale. Highly recommended!

by:

I am now on my third Maxxair fan motor. Every motor develops an annoying squeak after about six months. The motor costs over half of the entire Maxxfan unit. This has become a very expensive fan! I tried to fix the squeak on the first motor following videos. Total nightmare. Squeak came right back. Bought second motor. Same thing. Did not attempt to repair. Just dealt with annoying squeak. Never went away. Just installed the third motor and sounds great. Just nervously awaiting the cycle to begin again. You need to maintain the motor. The brushes develop build up. No way to manually clean. It is a sealed unit. Bad design. Expensive. Not happy.

I know this sounds counterproductive but MaxxAir does recommend to run a new fan on high for 24 hours to break in the bearings. This is a common issue this trick has worked for a lot of owners.

by:

Better than original! Runs 24/7 since I bought it and still sounds like new.

by:

Exact fit and works great!

by:

Great customer service! I really appreciated the email notifications as to status - from ordering, to picking the item, to packing and shipping, to expected delivery date. Also, I received the package in 3 days from placing the order. Fantastic!

by:

Fast service, excellent customer service and follow up, would order again

by:

Works great, no more 5 alarm beeping in the middle of the night

by:

Product arrived promptly and is exactly what I needed. This fan motor replaces #10-04020, which Maxxair no longer has in their system.

by:

20 min install works great didit all from inside

by:

Shipped very fast. Installed easily and worked perfectly.

by:

Product as described. Quick shipping and great communication. I would definitely use etrailer again.

  • Replacement Parts For a MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe 8951K
We do not carry an exact replacement unit for the MaxxAir Deluxe 8951K. We have the Smoke # MA00-07500K or White # MA00-07000K which would be the closest replacement. These fans use the same lift and fan motors but the control panels and circuit boards are going to be different so you would not be able to swap all the parts. Here are the replacement parts for your fan if you want to try changing out certain components. Also be sure to first check the power going to the fan as if the voltage...

  • Troubleshooting Fan Blades Not Turning on MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent
Hi Deborah; the motor on your # MA00-07500K could be wearing out in which case you can replace it with the # MA10-20968. I wouldn't say it is the circuit board since it is sending the signal for the motor to work it is just failing to start up and move the fan blades without some help. Before you replace it I would make sure it is getting full 12V power. I would also see about cleaning it. Just like a regular fan, if it has some dirt or debris up in there it might be stuck and not have...

For your MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke # MA00-07500K the remote screen can work and even other functions and yet not the fan could still be a remote issue. Here are things to test: Does the remote open and close the vent cover? If so the receiver in the unit is working and the transmitter in the remote is sending that function. Does the fan turn on and off and adjust speed with the buttons on the vent? If the fan works...

  • Troubleshooting A MaxxAir MaxxFan That Keeps Turning Off
Your MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - White # MA00-04000K could be cutting off after 10 seconds for the following reasons: 1. Insufficient or fluctuating power. Your fan could be receiving less than 12v of power. Check the power wire at the unit using a multimeter like # PT89ZR. If you aren't receiving 12v then you could have a voltage drop off due to the length of the wire running from the battery to the fan and would just need to increase the...

  • MaxxAir MaxxFan 4500K Doesn't Want To Spin In Exhaust Direction
It sounds like a problem with the Circuit Board # MA10A21275K on your MaxxAir Roof Vent # MA00-04500K. I recommend using a Multimeter # PT89ZR to test voltage coming out of the circuit board going to the fan to verify the issue is not also with the Motor # MA10-20968. If you do not have a multimeter you could also switch the terminals around to see if the fan doesn't want to spin on the intake direction which would verify the issue is with the circuit board.
