Today we'll be taking a look at the replacement operator mechanism for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe roof vents. This is going to be a direct replacement from Maxxair for that crucial component to actually open up your vent or fan. You can see when I turn this small portion that little hex portion turns. So that's what's going to open or close our vent and provide us with good circulation inside our RV or camper. This is a fit for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus part number MA00-04500K or the Maxxair Deluxe MA00-070003 or MA00-0700K. That's for the powered lift roof vent.It doesn't come with any other hardware.

It just comes with the mechanism and then this small bushing to go over that portion there. It will reuse the same hardware to attach this in place. It'll get you back to working with your vent. If you need any other replacement parts for your Maxxair fan, check out etrailer.com for more replacement parts. That's going to do it for our look at the replacement operator mechanism for the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe roof vents..

Exact part. Easy parts look up and checkout. Communication from e-trailer on order and shipping status, part arrived early.
Easy to follow direction booklet included. 10 minute installation and 10 minutes of cleaning Maxxair blades, rain sensor, vent cover, shroud and Maxxair hood. In addition I used a seal cleaner and conditioner to renew vent cover seal. Vent cover was sticking before which may have led to part failure.
Vent works just like new!

Pictures show broken part and new part.

Thank you to all staff at etrailer for your efficiency in getting parts to customers.

I use the max air 6 months of the year at least 3 times per day depending on weather maybe more. Replacement part has functioned properly. I inspected part after 6 months of use, no cracks or visible wear and no out of the ordinary sound when operated.

by:

the OEM part is weak the point of being defective. the replacement installs easily, fits perfectly, and is WAY better than the original part.
if I had known all this before, I would have replaced these immediately to avoid the OEM failures.

Exact replacement for the parts that were broken by the tweeker that was trying to break into my trailer. My MaxaFan is operational once again. etrailer got the parts to me in short order and are always great to work with.

Very happy with the repair mechanism for our MAXXFan, no problems to this point.

by:

seems to work just fine. I figured out how to install it myself. Good instructions.
My maxxair fan does something weird however, which may be unrelated: it is humming along nicely moving air up and out, and all of a sudden it starts beeping and will shut down. no observable change in temperature, no rain or moisture… won't stop beeping until I turn off the whole house battery situation and back on again. So I don't use the fan much!

by:

Got the replacement (2nd shpmnt) with instruction pamphlet and all parts as originally expected. 1st shpmnt came missing part and no instructions. In fact, 1st shpmnt was not enclosed in MaxxAir packaging. Made me wonder.....? When I questioned the missing part in the 1st shpmnt, I got the same reply from two different people at eTrailer. Must have been looking at the same computer screen. Some times one wonders????????????

So far so good. I was a bit skeptical at first because is arrived without the coupler. Customer service implied I was not being truthful. Their position was, no way, not us but finally sent a replacement.

Product was shipped then delivered without issue and on time.

Removal of the defective actuator was very simple as was the installation of the replacement. The instructions provided are accurate and detailed but better photos could be provided. My original actuator had exploded so I couldn’t use it for reference when installing the new one. Removal and installation took about 30-45 minutes including cleaning the fan area and the vent lid.

My issue was synchronizing the actuator with the opening/closing of the vent lid. First of all, note the position of the lift rod arms. Upon installaon you’ll want to position the rod so the arms are at the same height as when it was removed. If your existing actuator still functions, when it’s removed rotate the motor/knob connecting rod one way or the other and note when it comes to a stop. Rotate the new actuator to match the position of the old component when it was removed. As my old actuator was in pieces, I had to make repeated attempts to get properly position the opening and closing of the vent lid. This took another 30 minutes or so.

In the end, the new component functions perfectly and the lid raises and lowers to its proper positions.

Good part for MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents but keep round metal piece sometimes it's not the same as yours.

by:

Item was as described. I repair rv's for a living and have bought multiple products from etrailer. They always do a good job and customer service is top tier.

So happy to have my fan back in operation. Very thankful to etrailer for finding this part as even the manufacturer had no expected date of delivery.

Still working fine after one year. Very pleased with it.

by:

Received the part fairly quickly and was able to install it without any problem. The instructions were good. I hesitate to give it higher ratings because it appears to be made from the same materials as the original which pretty much disintegrated after 4 years of very little use. Time will tell.

The Maxxair part continued to work all the way up until the time that I sold the RV!

by:

Shipped quickly and got my MaxxAir Fan working properly again. Install was pretty easy, Just need a phillips screwdriver and some patience. Took me a few tries to get the range of motion properly set. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer than the original lasted (18 months).

The regulator is still working great, I ordered an second one to have on hand as a spare. MaxxAir was no help with warranty, but I got what I needed from etrailer.com.

I have used Etrailer for a number of orders over the years. They have always been prompt with filling the order and when I have had questions they have provided answers quickly. It's a refreshing change to have such prompt service.

The part is still working great. We are fulltime and the fans get a lot of use. Very pleased.

by:

Well they are replacement parts, So there's not much to say about them except I'm Glad there was a "used" option for 1 of the items to help with the cost. My disappointment is with the MaxxAir fan that REQUIRED these parts after only just over 2 years with LOW use hours! MaxxAir really needs a better warranty for such a (supposedly) top of the line fan with a Top Price to go along with it! Or maybe offer the parts at a lower price point! I struggled with the decision of buying the parts or just getting a whole new fan! I opted for the parts ONLY because of the extra work it would have been to remove the calking & mounting bracket stuff. As it was I still had to do some pretty involved disassembly & R&R work to replace BOTH a bad lift motor AND broken ( Pot metal) Operator Mechanism!!! NOT impressed with my Maxxair roof vent AT ALL!!!!

by:

The instructions that came with the part were excellent and easy to follow. Took about 30 minutes to remove the old part and install the new one. Fan is working great again! Very happy!!

by:

WOW! Not only was this the exact replacement part, but the videos you provided were SO helpful and a perfect match for the job! The original wasn't just broken, it was literally shattered into 3 pieces! First time doing business with etrailer but it certainly won't be the last!

by:

The old one suffered a catastrophic failure shattering into 7 pieces after 9 years. I hope to do better with this one.

by:

exact fit and easy to replace.

Shawnee was very knowledgeable about this operating mechanism on our rv max’s air fan, she saved us a lot of money and time by providing us with a part instead of replacing the whole unit. She is a great asset to Etrailer and I will continue purchasing parts as needed. Thank you Shawnee!

  • Replacement Parts For a MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe 8951K
We do not carry an exact replacement unit for the MaxxAir Deluxe 8951K. We have the Smoke # MA00-07500K or White # MA00-07000K which would be the closest replacement. These fans use the same lift and fan motors but the control panels and circuit boards are going to be different so you would not be able to swap all the parts. The two most likely causes of a MaxxAir vent fan lid not opening or closing are either going to be a lift motor or operator failure.
