Specs:
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Westlake ST175/80R13 radial trailer tire, in a load range C, mounted on this 13 inch black modular steel wheel with the 514 and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel's somebody's ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. Want to start with the wheel itself. This is a sturdy steel wheel and it has the modular design. And when we say modular design, that's the one you can see that has the round holes that go all the way around the wheel.
They do use a black powder coat finish over an E-coat primer to help resist rust and corrosion. Also, what's nice is they use the beveled stud holes, where your lug nuts go, here, to help keep the wheels securely in place on your trailer hub. Eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now the tire that's mounted on this is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plys.
They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial applied tire so it is great for highway use. On the tread itself, you'll see on the tread blocks, they have some cuts in it. And the reason they do that is it helps break up the water underneath the tire and helps channel that water away from the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. This tire is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewalls on it so that it can handle heavy loads.
It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. This does come with a complimentary roadside assistance for two years. Gives you flat tire service available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications.
The tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Specs, and the wheel itself meets the SAEJ 1204 standards. Now if you notice, this wheel and tire assembly comes without a center cap. If you do want a center cap to go in here, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have a diameter of 3.19 inches. That's the diameter here of the pilot hole. That's where your cap will go through and be installed in. A few dimensions on this: the diameter of the wheels, 13 inches, the width on just the wheel by itself is four and a half inches wide. The bolt pattern on this wheel is five on four and a half inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs. What you want to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you can measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure too. So when you measure it, it'll measure four and a half inches. So that means this is a five lug, four and a half inch bolt pattern. Does use the wheel lug size of the half inch by 20. The weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 1,660 pounds. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the side wall, ST, Special Trailer 175/80R13, the R means it's a radial tire. Section width on this is seven inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top where it's inflated, it's 24 inches. This is a load range C tire, which means it's a 6-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity, 1,360 pounds at 50 psi. And the last thing I wanna mention is most all these new trailer tires are coming through with a speed rating on them and they do stamp the speed rating on the tire. And usually where it's at is stamped, it's stamped by a letter designation. So if you go over the size we just went over, right after that, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then you'll see the letter L. Speed rating L will mean that it's a 75 mile per hour speed rating. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST175/80R13 radial trailer tire in a load range C, mounted on this 13 inch black modular steel wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.

Had to modify fenders and just hoping to have enough clearance. Installed on single jet ski trailer made by Comfab.

No problems on delivery. The tire was inflated to 46psi with a green cap, implying some sort of kryptonite or special air was used. Not sure if it's balanced, but high quality wheel.
Wheel fit perfectly. The black color looks great. I bought it as spare for my Kendon trailer. Very pleased as usual with etrailer and their products.
Extremely fast service and wheels/tires look great. Thanks!

Really nice product that came quickly and nice touch of nitro filled.
Easy transaction and super fast shippin g.
I bought 4 of these wheel/tire assemblies about a year and a half ago, and they worked perfect on the 3 trips I took so far. I like to travel with 2 spares, and I want one of them to be new so if I do get a flat, I can continue my trip with confidence. So I bought another wheel/tire assembly. The load range D is also an extra confidence booster. I know I am very safe with these tires.
Delivery exactly as advertised. Purchased for a spare and matches the manufacturer's installed tires and wheels.
