Specs:
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead 15 inch by 5 inch Eagle glossy black aluminum trailer wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now, this is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rust-proof. It is the Eagle Series, which is a split five spoke design, has a glossy black finish, and you can see they put a machine edge on the spokes and even a little bit on the lip here. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to protect from scuffs and scratches.
Now, one of the nice features I like on this wheel is the pressed in steel inserts right here in the lug nut wells. Those are designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. And the way they do that is they press those inserts in there and then when you put this up on your trailer, put your lug nuts there and torque them down, it prevents those holes from wearing down or elongating over time. So that'll help eliminate the need for constantly tightening of your lug nuts. If you notice the valve stem right over here, it is included, it is pre-installed in the wheel.
Now, the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do want to get a center cap that has the same diameter as this pilot hole because when you install your center cap, it'll go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now, this wheel does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J1204 standards.
A few dimensions on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width, and the diameter you always measure is inside to inside on this wheel. So when you take your tape measure, and if you go inside to inside, you'll be able to see there's your 15 inch diameter. The width is the same way. It'll be measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat, five inches wide. Now, the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.
And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that has an odd number of lugs, in this case, five, what you'll do is just pick any hole, let's say this one, and then only measure from the center of this hole to either one of these holes across from it. But the key is you wanna measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this one, it'll measure four and a half inches. So that means it's a five lug four and a half inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size it uses a 1/2 inch by 20. And the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,150 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the Lionshead 15 inch by 5 inch eagle glossy black aluminum trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

I needed a new wheel for my TT after having one jettison off the trailer somewhere along the highway after a camping trip. etrailer had the right one at a fair price and quick delivery.
Wheels look just as expected. Wheels are shipped in a cardboard box without any protection for the front of the wheels. Two of the four have scratches.
They fit great. Came on time. And look great on my fifth wheel
etrailer is the best!
