Lionshead Roadside Assistance Program

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

1-Year No Excuses Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.

Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Lionshead Aluminum Wheels with Steel Lug-Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Westlake Radials

This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.

Westlake Standard Tread Close-Up

The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I'm happy with these tires and rims. They are capable of 4805 lbs at 125 psi but I run them at 110-115 psi and they provide plenty of capacity for my 5th wheel. The tread is a little bit light but plenty sufficient for a trailer tire. The tires have ~12,000 miles on them now and they look great. They are virtually the same overall diameter as the 16" tires I took off and provide nearly 40% increased capacity. While I had to swap out the studs it was worth the effort.

by:

Tires and wheels were on time. I purchased them for my 40 foot 5th wheel.Got them installed then drove 60 miles. So far everything is good. I purchased the self balancing beads and installed those at the house before I took the tires to the tire installer. Wheels wasn’t bouncing so looks like the beads work. Will keep an eye on it. Amy was great to deal with.

Tires and rims looks great. On time de livery.

Ordering through etrailer is seamless...I'm a repeat customer several times over if that means anything. I do shop around and sometimes I can find what I am looking for a "little cheaper" elsewhere... however one of the the things I really like about etrailer is that they do extensive product reviews, often comparing one product to another providing pros and cons so that you can purchase the right product for your particular situation, as well as installation videos. In my book that's worth paying extra. And as usual, my recent purchase arrived on schedule as promised.

by:

As many times as I have ordered from etrailer I always expect perfection. You have not disappointed me yet. The price is always fair and the service and shipping is great. My most recent order of the Cooper Work Series Tire with the Phenox Black 17.5 inch wheel exceeded my exceptions again. The delivery date was exactly as you had predicted and I know you are not in total control of that. Thanks again for the great service.

by:

Received in a timely manner in great condition. The only suggestion I have is that since this is a wheel and tire, that it should be balanced before being shipped, or that it at least be an option.

by:

Love the new tire and wheel combination. Looking forward to traveling with out the worry of the quality of my tires.

by:

In stock was delivered with in three days was a perfect match, only downsize the tire is not balanced and had to take to a local tire store to have done

by:

Perfect replacement for a damaged wheel on a 2022 Grand Design Solitude. Wheel and tire is an exact match to OEM.

by:

Great service and speedy shipping.

by:

This product is an exact match to our factory 2021 Grand Design Solitude wheels and tires. We needed to replace a tire, plus wanted to eventually replace the factory spare tire and wheel provided by Grand Design that doesn't match the others wheels and tires. This only took a few days to ship from the factory to southwest Florida. The set shipped without packaging materials, but everything arrived in perfect condition.

by:

Had a damaged tire and wheel on our fiver. etrailer had an exact replacement at comparable prices. And fast delivery!

by:

The wheel and tire was received in just 4 days from the time I ordered it. Thank you etrailer!

by:

I was surprised the the tire and wheel came ready to be installed. What I mean by that it wrapped for protection in shipping. It did arrive in perfect shape.

by:

Exact match to Grand Design Solitude factory installed rim/tires. Used to replace cheap spare tires.

by:

Delivery was fast, and the price was fair.I would order from them again

by:

The tires look great but the rims should have been raped have some scratches on them.

  • Could Cooper Works Series Trailer Wheel Tire 215/75R17.5 Fit 2022 KZ Durango Gold 356RLQ
Hey Mr. Charles, so if your 2022 KZ Durango Gold 356 RLQ has the tire size 215/75r17.5 on it currently and the wheel bolt pattern is 8 on 6-1/2 inch then yes the Cooper Works Series Wheel and Tire part # LH28FR would fit and work great as it would be an exact replacement. We don't have a way to verify what tire size your RV came with otherwise I would have done that for you but this can replace other similar sizes as well as long as the wheel bolt pattern is the same. The most I can find...

Hi John, We can get you the Phoenix wheel only from the Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel # LH28FR. THe correct part for the wheel by itself is the following: - Aluminum Phoenix Trailer Wheel - Black # LH88VR The # LH88VR has the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern you need, and is the same 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" size you specified.

  • Does Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel Come Balanced
Hey Jim, thanks for reaching out! None of our tires come balanced, including the Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel # LH28FR you're looking at. With that being said, since trailers don't have passengers in them they don't need to run as smooth as vehicles so trailer tires don't have to be balanced. If you'd like to have them balanced by a tire shop then that's totally fine as well.

  • Can Grand Design Reflection Go From 16 Inch Wheels & Tires to 17-1/2 Inch
It is possible for your 2021 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS to go from 16 inch to 17-1/2 inch wheels and tires, yes. You currently have a hub with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, and since you mentioned replacing the suspension you would need one that had a hub with an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. Your Grand Design currently has ST235/80R16 size tires, and if you went with 17-1/2 inch wheels the overall tire size would actually decrease slightly if you went to 215/75R17.5 tires (from 30.9" diameter/9.4"...

  • 17.5 Wheel and Tire Combination Recommendation with 8 on 6-1/2 inch Bolt Pattern
I recommend the Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2 - LR J - Black # LHAS701. This is a wheel and tire combo that comes with radial tires and a sharp looking aluminum wheel. The wheel has an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern that has a 4,805 lb capacity when inflated to 125 psi. To ensure that you have an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern check out the link I attached.

  • What PSI Do Trailer Tires On A 2022 Grand Design Solitude Need To Be Aired up To
Hey Joe, According to the spec sticker for your tires they need to be aired up to 125psi. You can verify this on the sidewall of the tire as well. Trailer tires are not like vehicle tires and are specifically designed to haul weight instead of offering comfort. The weight capacity is set based on the psi so if you don't follow the manufacturer's guidelines you'll be at an unknown weight capacity for the tire and could potentially be overloading it. If you're in need of a compressor...

  • What Lug Nut Torque Should Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel Use
The Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel # LH28FR would require lug nut torque figure of 130-150 ft lbs since it is a 17.5 diameter aluminum wheel with 9/16 inch diameter wheel studs.

  • What Max temperature Setting Should I Use For TPMS System Monitoring LRH Tires?
Hello Bert, thanks for reaching out. For your TPMS 158 degrees Fahrenheit is a good point to set the alarm at. Just keep in mind that in much hotter climates you may see the tires go hotter than this. So if you plan on towing thru the desert climate you may want to up the alarm to 165-167 degrees max. In normal or colder climates 158 will be a good setting. If it's cold enough, they really should not be close to 158. Anything over 190-195 degrees is considered the "danger zone" and if tires...

  • Determining Axle Spacing For An 8-Lug Tandem Torsion Axle Setup
Hi Chad, When installing a tandem axle setup you'll want to have at least 4" of space between the tires to allow for suspension travel without having the tires touch. For example, with a 215/75R17.5 tire size, like part # LH28FR, you would need to space the axles at least 34.2" apart.

  • Will The Cooper 215/75R17.5 Tire w/ Wheel Work With Ford OEM TPMS Sensors?
Hello Stephen, thanks for reaching out. I took a walk out to our warehouse to take a look at the valve stem on the Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel # LH28FR. I found that this wheel does use the larger 0.625 valve stems so sadly this would not work with the Ford OEM TPMS sensors. The max PSI is 123 so you would be good there, just not with the larger valve stems. You will need to use a separate tire monitoring system for the trailer tires. For that I recommend...

  • US Made ST215/75R17.5 Trailer Tires Needed
Hey Bill, For US made tires you would have to go with Goodyear Endurance's, which we sadly no longer offer. The quality of foreign-made tires has dramatically increased over the years so there really isn't a huge difference anymore. One brand I do like, that we also carry, is Triangle Tire. They make a really deep, thick tread and are overall more heavy duty compared to similar options in this sizing. If you can't find some Endurances in your size or just don't like the price then I recommend...

  • Picking Out Wheel and Tire that Could Fit 2024 Grand Design Influence
Hey Greg, so our RV fitguide is a work in progress. We plan to have more RVs like yours listed but it's a slower process than vehicles since things aren't as easily test fit. We do most likely have a great option for your Grand Design but I would need you to get me the current tire size you have now. The part # LH28FR that you referenced would be a great choice if you need a 215/75R17.5 on a wheel with an 8 lug bolt pattern.
