Specs:
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead, 15 inch by 6 inch Condor Gunmetal Gray Aluminum Trailer Wheel with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rust-proof. And we mentioned it's the Condor series wheel, which is a split six spoke design, has the gunmetal gray finish and a machine face on the spokes and even on the lip, gives a nice shine to the wheel. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front of the wheel to protect it from scuffs and scratches.
Now one of the nice features I like on this wheel is the pressed in steel inserts they use here in the lug nut wells. These are designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically when you put this up on the trailer, the studs come through here, you put your lug nuts on to torque 'em down. Those steel inserts will prevent the holes from elongating or wearing down over time. Eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.
If you notice right over here, the valve stem is included. It's pre-installed onto the wheel. Now the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install that center cap, it'll go through this hole.
The diameter of this pilot hole is 4.25 inches. This wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications and the SAEJ 1204 standards. A few dimensions on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width of the wheel. And the diameter on a wheel is always measured inside to inside. So if we take our tape measure and if we go inside to inside, there's your 15 inch diameter.
The width on the wheel is gonna be the same way, we're gonna measure inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your six inch width. Now we mentioned the bolt pattern on this. It is a six of five and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case six, it's pretty simple 'cause the lug holes are directly across from each other, so it makes it easy to measure. So just pick one of the holes, let's say this one. It's measured from the center of this hole to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this wheel, it would measure five and a half inches. So that's gonna tell you this is a six lug, five and a half inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,830 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the Lionshead, 15 inch by 6 inch Condor Gunmetal Gray Aluminum Trailer Wheel with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern.
