Instead of spending money on a replacement lead jack for your landing gear, fix your broken jack with this repair kit. The lead jack has a mounting location for a crank or motor, and it connects to the follow jack with a cross shaft.

Today we're going to take a look at the Lee Jack Repair Kit for the Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear.Now, instead of having to spend money on a replacement lead jack for your landing gear, you can just fix your broken jack with this repair kit. The lead jack is the jack in the landing gear that the hand crank, or the motor, mounts to, and it connects to the follow jack with a cross shaft. This part here is designed for use with the Lippert Components Venture LG1 or the LG-183708 landing gear.This kit here includes everything laid out here on the table. It includes the lead driveshaft, the two driveshaft bushings, a shim washer, an e-clip, the two bevel gears, and the two drive pins to go into the bevel gears.That should do it for the review on the lead jack repair kit for the Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear.

Product arrived a day early. Quality was as good, if not better than OEM part. I was able to uninstall the lead jack, repair it, and reinstall in under 2 hrs... that's not bad for someone as mechanically challenged as me. the majority of my time was spent cutting out the mounting bolts because the factory idiots installed the bolts and then welded the unit in palce afterwards (making it impossible to remove the bolts since they were blocked by the bulkhead). I cut them out and had replacement bolts on hand. I initially thought instructions should have been included, but once I started to disassemble the lead jack it was pretty easy to determine the way forward. Good Product! I will use etrailer again.
Easy repair with the landing leg removed from the trailer. Fit the Venture leg exactly. Only took 25 minutes to replace the gears.

After a summer of heavy use the repair is still like new.
Worked perfect and was exactly what I needed. Local shop wanted over $60 and had to special order the parts with a 2 week turn around. Found on etrailer and got in in 4 days. Parts were exact replacements and exact fit. Perfect!!!

Parts are working flawlessly. Have not had any problems at all with the operation. I purchased a second one do have on had for the other side just incase i habe a othe problem.
We have been traveling in a fifth wheel rv for 3 months. Have needed etrailer's help with two different problems are very easy to talk to for information and parts. Were very prompt on getting parts to us in two different states. Were the right parts the first time around they really know the rv problems. The parts were quality grade and fit perfectly. Just as described. Fast shipping. Problem I had was that lipert components changed there suppler in 2010 from stromberg-carlson to pacific industry's. (a tailor company) and you can't get parts.You have to buy the whole leg assembly. I took the leg gear and had it bored from 1/2 to 9/16 and was able to use this part. Darn you Lipert for changing suppliers. Ps, if you have the same problem don't use the spacer in the kit, use the thinner one off original,

Exact Replacement!
The lead leg of my RV landing gear would not extend. I called and spoke to Nicky to confirm this was the correct kit for my Venture landing gear. When it arrived the packing actually states "for Venture landing gear". It was easy to install. I had small issue removing the broken gear set, but, installation of the new was easy and straight forward! Highly recommend this kit to anyone rather than replacing the entire leg!
As a kit, it is excellent. I actually only needed the upper retaining pin ( 3 times now), and it gets expensive buying the whole kit for one small part. I did use the entire kit and replaced everything each time. The hardest part of the install was figuring out how to disassemble the broken one the first time (now you tell me there's video.....). Next hardest is getting the new parts in their proper place to be able to install the upper pin.
Gots to have these handy. Don't want to find yourself in need of landing gear parts when you need them! Another etrailer success. Great to deal with.

Just what I needed to repair my wounded fifth wheel, installation was straight forward, all necessary parts were provided.
The replacement gear kit worked great for my Venture leading landing leg. Not too difficult to install. The questions and answers on the website were very informative.

Good set of gears. Was a bit on the worrying side because they did not say that they would fit on a venture jack? But they did and are working just fine.
