Get the smartest RV awning out there and customize it with add-on sensors (sold separately) to fit your camping lifestyle. Use the easy-to-access touchpad on its arm to operate the awning - no need to climb in and out of your camper.

Specs:
The Solera Smart Arm is the first ever programmable awning for your trailer or RV. You can pre-set all of your add-on features and get your awning just how you want it with no more than the press of a button. The weatherproof control pad is integrated into the base of the right arm for easy access - no more climbing in and out of your RV to tweak with your awning.
On top of making it convenient to extend and retract the awning, the touchpad gives you 1-touch control of all your add-on features. It's designed with a safety lock button to keep your settings and the awning where you want them. You have to unlock the touchpad before you can make any adjustments, so you won't have to worry about accidentally elbowing the controls.
The Wind Sensor upgrade (LC715123 - sold separately) protects the awning against wind damage. If strong wind is detected, the awning will automatically retract, giving you peace of mind if you're away from your campsite when bad weather hits. You can toggle between 3 different levels of wind sensitivity using the touchpad, or you can deactivate the wind sensor altogether. Just mount the sensor below the drive head on the awning arm and plug the wiring harness directly into the Smart Arm touchpad.
If you have an LED light strip on your awning, or if you'd like to get one, you can control it right from the awning arm. It gives you 3 levels of brightness to choose from. If you're enjoying your patio as the sun's going down, there's nothing more convenient than being able to turn on the lights right there.
To take your awning lights to the next level, another cool add-on is the infrared security sensor (LC715124 - sold separately). When this sensor detects motion or heat, it will automatically turn the awning lights on. This is a great security feature, as well as a convenient backup if you're returning to your RV after dark and need some light to get inside. The sensor range is approximately 8' with a 180-degree radius from its mounting location and can be armed with the press of a button. Installation is one step: snap the unit into place on the bottom of the arm, just beneath the touchpad.
One thing that can quickly ruin your camping trip is a broken awning. It's not easy or cheap to replace, and you can't really enjoy your patio without one. A big hazard to a healthy awning is rain: water pools in the fabric, stretching it out and putting strain on the arms with extra weight it isn't designed to hold. Next thing you know, the fabric rips - the arms snap - the whole awning comes crashing down, slamming against your RV and leaving you with a big and costly problem.
For traditional awnings, it's up to you to run out in the rain and lower one of the arms yourself so the water can run off. If you're away from your RV when it starts to rain, you can only hope your awning isn't damaged when you get back. This Solera awning is solves this problem: it comes equipped with an automatic rain dump function. As soon as rainwater starts to pool in the fabric, one of the arms will automatically drop, giving your awning a pitched angle. The rainwater will then run off to one side, taking the pressure off the awning and your mind.
It's hard to get your awning in just the right place to keep you in the shade all day, especially if you have one that's pretty high off the ground. Sometimes you need just a little slant to your awning to keep the sun out of your eyes. The manual pitch adjustment built into these arms gives you that option. Simply pull on one of the arms at the friction joint to drop that corner. It comes down easily and holds itself there for as long as you need it. When it's time to retract the awning, there's no need to readjust it; the awning will slide back in no matter what pitch the arms are set at.
The durable fabric of this awning holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. In addition, this fabric features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. The fabric is cold-crack protected to -25 F, so it won't crack or degrade during cold weather.
An awning rail is required to anchor the fabric of the awning to the RV, and your first step will need to be installing one (LC715217 - sold separately) if you don't already have one on your RV. You will need a minimum of 2-1/2" between the awning rail and the top of the entry door. You'll also need 69" of open space on the RV wall - from the awning rail straight down - so that the wall-mounted brackets for the awning arms can be installed.
The roller tube comes with the awning fabric already mounted and attaches to the awning arms. The other side of the fabric slides into the awning rail on the RV. Then use the included self-tapping screws to secure the arms to the wall-mounted brackets. The awning drive motor wires to the Smart Arm touchpad, which can either be connected to your battery or wired directly into your RV.

Get the smartest RV awning out there and customize it with add-on sensors (sold separately) to fit your camping lifestyle. Use the easy-to-access touchpad on its arm to operate the awning - no need to climb in and out of your camper.I have been dealing with Madison from ETrailer. She was great and helping me out with my situation. She even gave me her direct number and I will deal with her from now on.
The replacement awning fit almost exactly. We needed to drill a few holes in the camper to accommodate the new(?) bolt pattern. Unfortunately our camper was not wired for the smart arm type awning (even though it was a 2021 model), so I’m waiting to rewire the RV control panel to provide a constant hot wire to the awning so the smart arm feature will be functional.
The Smart Arm Power Awning is exactly what we needed and works perfectly! We lost our original 20’ awning during a windstorm on our first camping trip of 2022. We also purchased the wind sensor accessory for obvious reasons. Having the ability to open and close the awning from outside is so convenient. The only negative is the awning said it was “in stock” which wasn’t accurate, it took a month to receive it. I would definitely recommend this product.
Ordered this awning and the LED light kit in the related items. Awning is nice, operates smooth and quiet, and installed relatively easily. Outside control panel is handy, however, awning fabric includes neither the extra bead to attach the light to, nor the wiring to put the light in the roller bar. Now I have to figure out a custom solution to get this attached and wired up to the controller. This is very frustrating, and turned an otherwise good experience into an annoyance.
The product was great. It was a replacement for a 2018 Keystone Cougar standard motorized awning. One thing I had to do differently, because of where the wires came out the wall of the Keystone I had to drill a hole in the arm that mounted the wall. I did not install the wind sensor but the instructions looked easy for that install. I did like having the option for moving it from the remote panel outside that was a wonderful feature. Another nice feature was the dimmable LED porch light so you would not blind your neighbors in campgrounds, big plus. I sold this travel trailer and bought a Class A and I am trying to find a way to convert to this awning I think it is very good upgrade.
I would say the only issue of the whole thing was packaging. The box was falling apart when I received it. I inspected everything and it was luckily all in good condition and not missing. I would have been nice it the box was taped and banded a little bit better. Other than that it is a great product
I bought this awning for my daughter’s trailer after hers was destroyed by the wind. I was particularly concerned if the retract in the wind would work like it was advertised. I can say wholeheartedly that it does. I/she are very happy with that awning. Relatively easy to install. Works as expected. Sorry not photos.
Relatively easy setup, husband had to improvise some connections to get the inside switch to work it. Overall a very sharp-looking, sturdy, easily adjustable awning.
We have no regrets with our purchase and would use trailer again!!
works good had a warranty problem but lipert co. took care of it
Crazy easy. Awesome experience. Searched, entered my info, received a call two days later arranging delivery time and I now have it. Every step exceeded my expectations.
Great product as always
This is all messed up
I have the motion sensor to turn on my awing lights. It worked fine until it rained. Then it can on at random times and and would sometimes stay on all night. Customer support had suggestions on water proofing the arm that didn't help. They then sent me a new module which didn't help, then a new wiring harness. I then fixed the problem myself by putting dielectric grease in the connection that was getting wet. I feel it is a very poor design to not protect sensitive connections from moisture.
So far, this awning is going on the trailer fine. Everything shipped and I am installing it this week. Working through the wiring and got everything working including the switches that are in the trailer already. The SmartArm controller is awesome. I am glad I opted for the wind sensor also, we almost lost an awning a couple of years ago when a storm blew in as we were coming back to the campground. I was holding on to the awning and the wind picked me up like I was in a parachute. We thankfully got it rolled in before any damage was done, but many campers lost their awnings that day. I'll update once I get everything installed and working.
etrailer was great , a part was missing inside and they took care of it . Love the awning also .
Love the way water pours off when it rains without having to do anything but make sure you are not in the dump zone. A little disappointed that extension and retraction are not a little quicker. Have tried all settings but so far the auto wind retraction has not worked. Maybe I'm not letting the awning flop enough but I think when the awning is popping and the camper is rocking it's time to roll it in. All that said it sure beats my old manual awning.
The addition of this awning has been awesome. The install was easy and the operation has been great. We put it on an Old Church bus we turned into the Hogwarts Express. Take it camping, NASCAR Races and watching Meteor showers.
Always the best customer service from e trailer!
Everyone I talked to was easy to understand and extremely pleasant, which is unusual these days, sadly. Even though the item was damaged in shipping, and no fault of etrailer, they made everything right in a very timely manner, I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Great people and great company

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. I reached out to the manufacturer and the light kit is meant to work with a Prep-Flex fabric that we do not currently have on site.
