Will Lippert Pull-Out Steps Work for You?
Pull-out steps are typically installed on travel trailers. The pull-out steps from Lippert are easy to install and fold up underneath the camper for simple storage. To ensure you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The Lippert pull-out steps attach the underside of the camper chassis, directly beneath the doorway. To decide which size you'll need, locate the space available underneath your camper that lines up with the door frame, and measure the width and depth. You will need a mounting space that is at least 27-1/2" wide and 12" deep.
If it turns out you have more or less space beneath your doorway, there are other step assemblies available with bracket sizes ranging from 25-1/2" wide to 28" wide. A full list of the available steps is below.
Outriggers - metal brackets that act as an extension (LC301704 - sold separately) - may be needed for installation depending on the model of your original stairs. These provide extra length if the old steps are longer or wider than the new.
Once you know where the mounting bracket will go and what size mounting bracket you need, that spot will be used as the "mounting point" to determine how many steps you will need.
How Many Steps Do You Need?
To determine how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended, plus 6" to 9" to account for the drop from the bottom step to the ground. This measurement will also tell you how many steps you need.
The chart below displays entry height measurements in the first column. If you determined you need a 25-1/2" mounting bracket, the step part numbers with that width are in the second column. If you determined you need a 25-3/4" mounting bracket, the step part numbers with that width are in the third column. The steps for 27-1/2" mounting bracket widths are in the fourth column, and the steps for 28" mounting bracket widths are in the fifth column. Choose the bracket size that is closest to your measurements without going over.

After one year, I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase. I should have added to my original review that using a motorcycle jack to lift these into mounting position made installation super easy!
Amazing!!! Bought a 2018 Keystone 2 weeks ago and the only issue with super deal I got was the RV stairs. Old owner hit the deck with it on one of their camping trips… the stairs would barely come out, the outrigger bracket was bent as well, with a little cosmetic damage to the flashing fender. I watch some YouTube videos on how to measure, this site was the easiest to understand for ordering and best price. Got it super quick and installed it today. I installed by myself laying on the ground and pushing the stairs up. Love the new steps!!!
It fit perfectly. The important measurements are the with to the mounting brackets mine being 27 1/2'
Works well. Was a reasonable replacement for the original straight edged stairs. When it came in, the spreader bar at the bottom front was bent, but I decided to use the stairs and eventually got most of the kink out and painted it. They are sturdier than the original stairs too. So far so good all total.
Replaced the rv steps on our fifth wheel and it took about an hour to accomplish. The replacement steps fit perfectly with no modifications needed which was a relief. Since they were kind of heavy I first put blocks under both sides of the new steps to get them off the ground then slid a jack underneath to lift them into position to install the bolts. Happy with the replacement steps.
Worked perfectly. Excellent quality and stability. Similar to what came on our camper originally. Someone had removed and replaced with one that folds up and block the entry. We much prefer this style of rv step.

I stupidly backed my wife's car into the steps of our 5th wheel, damaging them. I looked on-line and found a replacement for the steps, perfectly described and with measurements and pictures so I knew they were the right ones. And at a great price, less than that big box Camping place - with free shipping. I ordered them and promptly got an email from George J. in customer service advising that the order had been received and shipped, giving me a tracking link and his own email address and a phone number to contact him with any questions. The steps arrived in perfect condition within 6 days at which time I received another email from Carol C. advising that the steps had been reported as delivered and to contact her with any questions, giving her email and phone number. Now this is great customer service!! And I have beautiful new entry steps too.
I had to enlarge the holes on my trailer a little to get this to fit, but everything else was great.
We could not be more pleased with our steps! They are well built and the fold-up (and easy pull-down) feature is a must for our use. Great customer service, we were surprised at how quickly we received our order. We would gladly do business with these folks again!

The stairs fit perfectly and were the exact duplicate of the stairs that came with my trailer. Your pricing was excellent.
These steps operate much easier than the original ones that came with the trailer. They are well made - good quality steps!
It took me about 3.0 hours to install the steps. I did not order the outriggers so I used the old brackets off of my original steps. To remove the old bracket from my existing steps, I used a disk grinder to grind off the head of the pin. I drilled/enlarged the exiting holes (six total) in the new steps to 3/8 inch to match the size of the bolts that secured the existing steps. Attached are pictures of the brackets that I removed from my existing steps and the bracket complete installation.
I received my order quickly but the box was damaged and some paint on the steps was damaged. I informed etrailer and they issued me a small credit to buy some paint. The steps fit my fifth wheel perfectly but they are definitely a lighter guage of metal tham my original steps. The installation was not difficult and the fit was excellent so I would recommend this company
One year later and the steps are still working great! Perfect fit and replacement, just remember to take care of it for what it is, basically an item exposed to all the elements and will catch the road dirt and grime your tires may kick up. Wash it down occasionally and keep the pivot points lubed with a dry lubricant so it doesn't collect dirt and grime and it should serve you well.

One year later and still working like day one. Put em up and out of the elements when storing for long periods helps to reduce the need for lube.
Exact fit for my 2012 Tracer Touring Edition. Easy to replace once lined up. Used a small floor jack to raise and align. Step unit heavy for one person installaion. Four bolts and your done.
Great quality and a perfect fit for our 2012 Jayflight. I had to remove the brackets from the old steps and put them on the new, but this was minor. Very happy with the purchase.
