Replaces the motor for your Kwikee powered RV entry steps. Attaches to the linkage (sold separately) underneath step mounting plate to provide power for extension. Automatic shut-down feature retracts steps if they strike an obstacle.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor. This Kwikee Step Motor is for 25 Series units by Lippert Components. It's designed to help the step automatically extend when you open your RV door and retract when you close your RV door. This is an exact replacement part, mounts the same way as your existing motor.It does feature weatherproof wiring and a weatherproof connector to prevent shorts and corrosion in the system. It's a really nice, durable design. We've got protective finishing over the metal components to keep everything safe from rust and corrosion over the gearing, here.
And then the motor housing is a durable plastic construction. It's going to use the same mount hole design, and then again, when it comes to the wiring, internally, it's all weatherproof. It's sealed. It's safe. And then it use a weatherproof connector right here to connect the motor to the actual step assembly.That's going to do it for today's look at the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor..

Great motor, bolt holes lined up perfectly with my 2005 Class A RV. The plug didn’t match my connector and the matching pig tail did not come with the motor. The new motor is obviously beefed up, which is great, but the old bolts are only 2 inches, so I used 2/1/2. 1/4-20 bolts. The motor I give a 5 stars, lack of pigtail 4 stars.
The motor assembly was an exact match to the old one. However the gears were not, but we were able to swap the gear from the old one and it was perfect.
Quick delivery and item worked and fit perfectly.

Installed entry step motor today - works great - much quieter than the old one - hope that means I have fixed the problem and do not need a new controller.

The item I reviewed was a step motor for my Motorhome entry steps - it solved the problem and is still working like new. BTW: I have purchased many RV items from etrailer and have always been very satisfied, never any problem............

Ordered by pics only and new motor came with wrong drive gear I needed but switched it out with old motor part and works great.
Fit perfect. Needed to replace bolt that is used to attach stair arm to gear. Also there were nylon supports that this gear rides on you should replace while your at it. Install it was easy if you remove whole assembly. Only has four bolts hold it to stair assembly. Makes much easier to do this gear and motor.

Would you be able to send photos of what youre seeing? It would be an excellent starting point for us to be able to see what the issue may be. I see that this motor is for Kwikee RV steps. Is that what you have?

there are alot of aftermarket motors available for these steps I had to modify it to get it in and it is not a perfect match like it suggests! Thanks but just very frustrated with an older rv and its issues!
It was straightforward to install; I used Etrailer's video to learn and had no issues. A month later, it is running great.
5 stars for a motor that doesn't fit my camper. But, I knew that when I bought it. As much as I tried to find someone who had the right part, I couldn't find one. So, bought this motor and disasymbled it, swapped my gears....perfect extension and retraction. FYI, if you do this, you may need to reverse the polarity to the motor (reverse the two wire connection).
I bought a replacement motor for Kwikee 25 electric RV steps and it arrived in just 3 days and worked like a charm. Just wish that the address had included my name since it was sent to a state park. Not sure whose mistake that was but glad I was able to connect to my package and install the new motor. Thanks for the great service.
