Today we're going to take a quick look at the Lippert carriage bolt. This is going to be a 3/8" diameter, 16x1" bolt in zinc. Now, this is going to be a 1" long bolt with that 3/8" diameter. And this is going to be a grade five carriage bolt so you can mount your Lippert steel manual pullout step or aluminum manual tread light step on your RV. It does have a durable zinc coating or zinc plating to resist any corrosion so we don't have to worry about this rusting out anytime soon.Now to get this mounted up to our steps, we can also use the flange nut. We're just going to be LC119072, that is sold separately.
You can find that here at etrailer.com so that you can get your side attached to the mounting bracket on your RV's frame. This is again going to be 3/8 in diameter and it's going to measure 1" going from beneath the head of that bolt. It will have 16 threads per inch for that. And then overall, it's going to be about an 1-1/8" long going into the top of that head of the bolt.And that's going to do it for our look at the Lippert carriage bolt with a 3/8" diameter, 16 threads for 1" in zinc.

The carriage bolts fit the fenders exactly and I don't have to worry about the nuts and bolts rotting away.
