Note: This adapter is designed to carry a bike rack only. Do not use to tow a vehicle or trailer. When using with a hitch-mounted accessory, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, the tongue weight of your hitch will be reduced by at least 50 percent.
This hitch extender lets you carry a Kuat bike rack on your vehicle with a rear-mounted spare tire. It has 10" of extra length. To install it just insert the extender into your hitch, align the pin hole with your hitch pin hole, and insert the hitch pin.
Anti-Rattle Flat-lock Hitch Cam
Kuat's Flat-lock hitch cam ensures a zero-wobble user experience. After installing your hitch pin, use the provided 8mm hex key to fully tighten the flat lock hitch cam to secure the Hi-Lo Pro to your vehicle.
Drop or Rise Position
This extender can also be used to lower or raise your bike rack 2". To provide clearance for your bike rack when your tailgate is lowered insert the unit with the head down. To give your bike rack clearance over steep driveways and other uneven terrain insert the unit with the head up.

Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Kuat Hi-Lo Pro Hitch Extender for your two inch hitches. Now folks, this is gonna give you 10 inches of extension and either a two inch rise or drop, depending on how you have this orientated. Now I went ahead and got an image here out from our department that installs these and it looks like on this Jeep you have plenty of room to clear that spare tire. So that's what this is designed for and it's also gonna be used for and designed specifically for Kuat's NV 2.0, the NV Base 2.0, the Transfer, and the Sherpa 2.0 bike racks. Now it does come with the riser here, the lock, the pin, the Allen key here, and two keys.
Now starting off, the Allen key, that's gonna expand this part out to make it expand and be tight inside of your hitch. There's a screw back here and you simply spin that and that's gonna make that go out farther and tighten up and just hold super tight and keep it rattle free and zero wobble inside of that hitch itself. Now the lock does come with it, very simple to use. Simply snap it on and it's automatically locked and that lock can spin around freely. And then when it's time to take it off, you simply insert the key and then obviously, you just unlock it and it'll pop right off.
So very simple operation, very simple to use. Again, rise or drop position, depending on your specific needs. It is rated for 250 pounds. Now that being said, folks, I wanna note this adapter is designed to carry a bike rack only. It is not used or not to be used to tow a vehicle or trailer.
And then if you're gonna use it, the tongue weight will have to be reduced by at least 50%. So keep that in mind, I wanna make that very clear and I think that's gonna wrap it up, folks. This again is the Kuat Hi-Lo Pro Hitch Extender. I'm Steven, have a good one.

Includes anti-rattle hitch lock.I have the Kuat bike rack and was torn between getting this Kuat extension or just a regular extension. The Kuat is more expensive but the fitment is great and comes with a lock and adjusts so that there is no movement or rattle. So less accessories to deal with and also has a high low feature which is great if needed.
The Kuat Pro extension fit my needs well. Needed an extension to get my bike rack far enough from the 33" spare on the Wrangler. Fits right with no wobble or rattle. I am using the Hollywood Sport Rider SE2 HR1450Z bike rack. There is a little of side to side wobble when attached to the kuat, no up and down wobble.
All Hitch adapters should have non rattle capability,and be of top quality like this Kuat !!
I highly recommend etrailer.com. They always have an answer and if they don't, they will do the research to give you the correct answer. The hitch extender is perfect for my Kuat Piston Pro rack, and the no wobble system is as advertised. Added bonus is that it comes with a lock.

Im sorry to see that your hitch has received some scratches on it due to shipping. This does tend to happen and when it does, we recommend using a Rust-oleum type paint to cover up any scratches and prevent corrosion in the future during use. I have a link below for your reference. I have also sent this information over to our Customer Service Department for them to get into contact with you.
