had to replace KH1190 due to melting of heater.

by:

Cheap materials and it is made only for using indoor. I'm really afraid to let that thing plug all night inside of my garage. You can smell like a burning plastic after plug-in.
This items are supposed to be made for tough conditions ,I don't have time to crawl under the heavy duty equipment in a freezing temperature and clean the grease or mud out of the oil-pan.

It's great for me because I was looking at purchasing magnetic or adhesive type heating pads for multiple pieces of equipment parked in unheated building and several vehicles not equipped with block heaters that typically get parked outside but with this heater I can use one heater to take care of all of them and my generator and and it works for me because I really only ever want or need to use it on one thing at a time.
I just want to prevent unneeded wear and tear on machine engine parts /starters/ batteries/ etc.

The only downside is that the instructions say "Do Not store heater in temperatures lower than 0°F because of bi-metal thermostat so I won't be storing it in the shop/building/garage but that's not a big deal.

by:

I like this product and use it on my air compressor which is in an unheated room. I didn,t know you handled these but found it when I searched on the internet. This was backordered but I was notified and it came earlier than you told me. Thanks again

by:

  • Recommended Block, Oil Pan, and Battery Heaters for 2019 Toyota Tacoma for Alaskan Winter
The Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater - Cartridge Style - 120V - 400 Watts # KH11813 is a confirmed fit for the 3.5L V6. You should not need to alter the element or clip in any way and doing so is not recommended. You may want to consider also getting the Kat's Heaters Plug Cover for Power Cords with 3-Prong Plugs # KH28405. This heater is designed to heat your engine block, but with that -40 degree temperature, you should also consider using an oil pan heater like the Kat's...

  • Where Does Magnetic Block Heater Attach to 2001 Ford F-250
There isn't an exact location you have to install the Kat's magnetic block heaters like the part # KH1155 that you referenced but ideally you attach it to the oil pan so that it keeps the engine oil as warm as possible. This is a pretty small heater though so for your Ford F-250 hopefully you have the larger version part # KH1190 instead.

  • Will Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater Work in Outside Cold Climate
The Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater # KH1190 is not vehicle-specific so it will work with your Kubota BX2200. It will also work really well outside, assuming you have the ability to plug it into 120-volt AC outlet. This heater will generate heat between 300 and 400 degrees so even in the frigid winter temps of the upper northeast, the Magnum Magnetic Heater # KH1190 will provide more than enough heat for your Kubtoa.

  • Could Kat's Heater Handi Heat Have More than One Wired to Switch
The Kat's heater part # KH1190 that you referenced doesn't have a direct way to wire to a switch for multiple heaters but if you ran more than one to a power strip that would be one way accomplish that. These will still function in -60 degrees as well.

The Kat's Heaters Thermostatically Controlled Circulating Tank Heater - 120V - 1,500 Watts # KH13150 was designed to for use on cooling systems with 26 - 40 quarts of fluid and your John Deere 4030 only holds 22 quarts so I do not recommend using it. Instead I recommend the Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater - 120V - 5" x 4-1/4" - CSA Approved # KH1190 which will magnetically connect to your tractor's oil pan, engine block, battery hold down, transmission pan, or hydraulic...

  • Magnetic Oil and Transmission Pan Heater for Use on a 2008 Chevrolet Diesel Truck
The Kat's Heaters magnetic heater that you would use on your 2008 Chevy truck is the Handi-Heat Magnum # KH1190. It's designed to heat an area up to 20 square inches and is made for larger trucks. It does include a thermostat to automatically shut off when it reaches 275 degrees Farhrenheit. 275 degrees does sound extremely hot. However, since the heater has to compete with external temperatures (Which are going to be quite cold or the heater wouldn't be necessary) plus transfer heat...

  • Can Engine Oil Heater Work On 3200 Watt Generator
The Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Engine Oil Heater, part # KH1190 is designed to warm the engine oil in cars, trucks, and farm machinery. This features a magnetic base that attaches to a metal surface like an oil pan and has heat output between 300 and 400 degrees F. The heating area is approximately 20 square inches. I am not sure this would be ideal for a generator due to the size of the motor on a generator. Many times a generator will have aluminum oil pans which would...
