Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Loadstar ST 235/75 R15 load range D radio off-Road trailer tire with 15 inch black mod wheel and five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is gonna be great for trailers, off-roading on mud, or other uneven terrain with this deep rugged tread. But this tire and wheel assembly can also be used on the highways and other paved roads. This special trailer tire or ST tire has sturdy sidewalls so it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers and it's not intended for use on other vehicles.
This radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and full nylon flies for a long life. And this deep rugged tread is going to channel water away from the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. Now this tire size as we have stamped right here is an ST 235/75 R15, and the section width of this tire is 9.3 inches. And the outer diameter is 29 inches. And this is a load range D tire, meaning it has an eight ply rating.
The maximum load is 2,860 pounds at 65 PSI. And this has a speed rating of Q indicating a maximum speed of 99 miles per hour. Now this modular steel wheel and you see that modular design there is very sturdy and it's gonna do a great job of resisting rust with its black powder coat finish over E-coat. And the dimensions of this wheel measuring from bead seat to bead seat, the diameter is 15 inches and then the width of this wheel is six inches. And we mentioned that our bolt pattern is five on four and a half inches.
And in case you don't know, the first number of the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, you're simply going to measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. Now this wheel has a capacity of 2,200 pounds. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20, the center cap is sold separately, but if you pick one up, you just wanna make sure that fits the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. Now this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, and I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today.
I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

Company was easy to work with, order was reasonably priced and delivered quickly!
Kenda Loadstar 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 10" Solid Center Wheel - 5 on 5-1/2 - LR E - Item #AM3H454 Were exactly what I needed, ordered, and received! Fast ! Thank you very much!
I build custom trailers and my customers trust that I give them the best available with each build. These tires, and etrailer are my go-to sources for quality products and excellent customer service. Kenda makes a great tire! You will not be disappointed.
Do not buy this wheel and tire. I bought two of these off road wheels and tires for my teardrop camper and both of them had bent wheels and off balance tires. This caused the tires to wobble when mounted. I was in contact with Kenda for weeks who makes these Loadstar’s and they made me get them road force tested ($50). Finally sent me two more wheels and tires reassuring me it wouldn’t happen again. I just mounted the two new ones and they wobble worse than the original two. I have wasted so much time dealing with Kenda’s warranty service, and they also told me these are brand new wheels and tires they just put on the market and I’m one of the very first customers. There is a defect in the manufacturing process and they can’t get it right. Etrailer also told me they can’t do anything about this trash product they are selling.
Excellent tires. My last set lasted 17 years and still held the rated weight. Exclusively kept outside. If it weren't for the dry roted sidewalls there was no reason to switch the tires. Again, after 17 years I think they performed perfectly!
I trailer my boat on gravel roads in northern Minnesota to my favorite fishing lakes. After one year of usage these tires are still holding up to the difficult terrain. In the past with other tire brands, I would typically have to start plugging holes in the tires or replace them by mid-summer but I haven’t had any issues with these yet.
So, after one year, I’m very pleased with these after previously trying trailer tires from at least three other tire manufacturers.
i have a 950 Series ezgo commercial golf cart and the 20-8.50x8 golf cart tires were not heavy enough as the rear tires would squish to the rims under cargo or trailer load so I switched to this LRD load rated tire and all is well...
Exceptional wheel and tire with a great price.Customer service is second to none. Thanks so much to the great team at e-trailer!
Great company, perfect parts and amazing customer service! I got tires/wheels and the hitch to rebuild the 40 year old trailer back to new.
Second set for my trailer. Long lasting tread. Cost less to buy tire and wheel from etrailer than local purchase of tire alone.
I purchased 4 of these for a old wagon running gear that I converted to a header cart. I had to drill the mounting holes bigger since the hubs are around 60 yrs. old but worked great.
These tires and wheels are used on a popup camp trailer I pull behind my motorcycle. Around 750 pounds. Went for a 3000-mile 8 day ride this summer they show little to no whare. They are only rated for 65 mph. On some of the highways with 80 mph going at 65 feels like being a target to run into. So has many miles of 70-75 mph on them so far so good.
I purchased tires and wheels along with new u-bolts and spring seats for a Coleman pop-up camper I purchased that had seized a wheel bearing and destroyed a tire and wheel. Shipping was prompt, all parts were exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased with my etrailer experience. The project turned out perfect and I now have a camper that has a little extra ground clearance for those off-the-beaten-path spots that we enjoy. And yes, I did flip the spring seats so the axle is in the proper "bowed-up" position. The new wheels look great as well! Thank you etrailer!
Excellent match to the old tire and wheel I'm replacing. Couldn't find this tire on a 5-lug wheel in local shops, etrailer had what I needed.
Hard to get this size at load range D.
Etrailer has it. Excelent customer service.
Thank you
Four wheels and tires shipped in quick order trailer is ready to roll again
The tires are perfect. They fit great. I built my trailer when I was sixteen, some 50 years ago. My tires dry rotted like most trailers. These new ones are just what I was looking for. They were shipped without any problems. I would order from trailer again, which I already have and planning on ordering another tire to replace my spare for the trailer.
After purchasing, and installation of the 2 Kenda 5.30-12 Tire W/12 White Wheels, 2 perfect fits, for my 1998 Tracker Trail Star boat trailer.I purchased these tires for my boat trailer because the tires on the trailer had small cracks due to the sun exposure. The boat is 16’2’’, and has a combined weight of about 1,380 lbs. The tires were very easy to mount, the ride while traveling on the interstate to the lake was smooth, and the handling on the boat trailer felt well secure at a high speed of 70mph. Overall I am very pleased with these tires. I also purchased two tire cover to put over the new tires, to preserve them from this Hot Atlanta, GA. sun.
So far excellent..last tires lasted 15,000 mi. on Mini-Mate motorcycle camper over rough roads. These are going to Alaska and in load range C for gravel and bumps. Wheels have perfect paint and the 3 raised dots in rim recess to hold my new baby moon hubcaps. Popped them on new wheels/tires today and they fit over bearing buddies and seated more firmly and tightly with than I've experienced before with no rattle at all. The tires installed more easily because the center hole was smaller than many old sets of wheels and lug bolts aligned easily and exactly. The Kenda 6-ply have been good in past but was very pleased with last tires(CST) the rubber stayed soft and didn't crack. My spare is also Kenda 6-ply and hasn't shown cracks through 4 sets of tires on the trailer. The new ones look to be of same high quality. They arrived quickly and was able to install between work commitments. After trying to order same on other sites for over a week and get info as to plies/wheel type, etc., I stumbled on eTrailer site and 'bingo' all taken care of and perfectly!
2 of the 3 tires failed. The warrantied tire came with a slow leak. Apparently you can't reroute a warrantied tire when you're on a road trip with your camper. Even if you pay the carrier they chose and reroute it as their own option. Huge PITA if you're traveling long distances in this thing. Warranty experience is unpleasant and be prepared to do it a lot!
The two 4.80-12 trailer tires came well packaged. They held some air but had to be inflated to 90 psi. The paint job was nice and I observed no chips. Each wheel had a black and red stripe around the outer ring. The tires were labeled LOAD STAR with a load rating of C and two ply sidewalls. I checked and Load Star tires are made by Kenda so that satisfied me. I am looking forward to many trouble free miles with these tires. Free and fast shipping was also appreciated.
Installed these brakes on my 5th Wheel in the summer of 2023. Completed the installation in two easy days with 2 other old men. Takes a little creativity placing hydraulic lines and the pump. Love this conversion. Never go back to drum brakes. Had to go from 10 gain on the drum brakes to 3 gain on the disk brakes. Driving through heavy traffic is so much less stressful knowing I have 10 wheels with disk brakes (6 on the RV and 4 on the truck). Stopping distance is reduced enormously. No problems with any component in the packaged as of 07/2024.
I needed a new set of tires for a camper I recently sold. I had bought trailer tires from etrailer in the past with great results. My expectations were met and exceeded again this time. The quality of the product, the communication, the price and the speed of delivery cannot be surpassed. I got a great set of Kenda tires on USA made rims for a great price. Tires are kind of like brake jobs, do you really want a cheap one? Sure A****n is great for a lot of stuff but I’m not going to go barreling down the road towing a trailer on poor quality tires. Do yourself a favor and get it right the first time. It’ll save you money in the long run!
